Challenging a specific clan to a Clan War

I'm not sure if this has been suggested in the past but...

Is there any way we can have a feature where our clan can challenge a specific clan to a war?

Like for instance, our clan is composed of 35 members, and we're challenging another clan which has only 25 members.
We can challenge them but we are only limited to choose 25 members to clash with them (based on their clan population). Their leader can reject a challenge or our leader can cancel the challenge. Only clan leader can issue a challenge against another clan.

I'm thinking of this as another option for clan war. We now have a random way of searching an enemy clan. Can we have a chance to choose our opponent (or specific way)? We can either cherry-pick our challenge ourselves with this feature.

If you guys have suggestions (or objections) for this feature, please feel free to say your piece.

Awesome idea. With some tweaks it can really make the game much more interesting. Like we can only challenge clans which have same amount of members of similiar level.Great idea bro

I don't think this is a good idea. Clan War Matchmaking is far more complicated than just the number of participants. It doesn't make sense to want to go war against a lower level clan. In your example, your clan would always pick the top 25 players, whilst the other clan has no other option than putting all members at war. You'd end up with an unfair war, where TH7-8 players are doomed to take on TH10-players...

So, it's a no for me!

Thanks! Either fight fair and square, cherry-pick your opponent, or challenge your clan for a bigger and better opponent. You choose for your own clan growth. :thumbsup:

After you press "Start War" button, it lets you choose between [Challenge a Clan] or [Search for an Enemy Clan].

If [Search for an Enemy Clan] is chosen, the usual random enemy clan search operation proceeds.

But if [Challenge a Clan] is chosen, it lets you search the enemy clan by either clan name or by clan code. Then the search result of clans with that clan name is listed, with number of clan members displayed under the clan name. In each search result row, [Challenge] button is displayed. Afterwards, you can choose your members which will participate in that war. After you have selected your members, press the button which says [Declare War!] and your chosen enemy war will receive a push notification that they have been challenged to a war. They will be offered two options: [Accept] or [Deny]. If [Accept] is chosen, the enemy clan then chooses his members that will participate in that war. After choosing members, he then presses [Declare War!] to officially start the war. If the clan leader chooses [Deny], it sends push notification on the other clan that their request for war has been declined.

This will be very useful for one-on-one clan war tournaments!

Then make it un-exploitable by removing the cherry-pick opponent clan option. Either fight the same level as you or the bigger and better opponent. The key to victory is on what the clan leader chooses, either a tougher challenge or fair play.

Explain how choosing your enemy in any way, shape or form will not result in “cherry picking” ?

Then
Explain how not choosing your enemy, differs from the existing war search ?

Not Random equals expoitable. And we are back to square 1.

I can’t be bothered dumbing it down and you clearly will not accept the obvious.


So I suggest you search the forum for identical discussions. It won’t take you long as this is a recurring suggestion.
