Failed th9 quatralavaloon attack - seeking expert advice

Hey guys,

So I did my first lavaloon attack today and it was pretty unsuccessful. The first obvious mistake made was with dropping my BK too early which in turn lured the whole cc. Which in turn made me fail at killing that right AD. Here are some other errors I seem to have made:

1) Dropped too many balloons at the bottom
2) 2 balloons at left were dropped too low and so they didn't go for the mortor which would lead more quickly to the AD
3) Top 2 rage spells were dropped too early.
4) Bottom too rage spells were dropped too high so it took longer for the loons to reach them.

These are the errors that I could tell that I made. However, even if I hadn't made these, do you think the attack would have succeeded? Would it have failed no matter what? What strategy would you have used with lavaloon? Would you have no used lavaloon at all? I would greatly appreciate some feedback! Thanks guys!

you should have lured and balloon bombed the cc. kill witch with minions. CC was easy to lure. I suggest bringing a heal and using it when the queen starts to focus a hound. Also i would have went on the right side. Loons had to travel so far to get to the core

So is this in hindsight or do you always lure cc out with lavaloon?

You've got to take care of cc before deploying hounds and loons. Max wizards will stop lavaloon cold. If it's easy to lure, do it. If it's to hard/expensive to lure, I usually zap em with lightning during the kill squad part of the attack.

How do you do that with level 5 light spell? Unless its cast just right it's not going to kill level 5 wizards. And indeed, when going up against a level 5 clan like we were in that reply, they have level 6 wizards. A light spell seems all but useless at that point does it not?

So don't lure the Cc and kill it with witches....

so the main provlem I see is that you used a farming/push LaLoon composition.

In war for LaLoons to work (and by work I mean three star) you need to do the following

1) Kill the Archer queen...she will wreck you
2) Kill the CC (I know I said dont use witches I'll get to that in a bit)
3) Have 1 hound per AD plus 1 additional hound

so sure you could lure the CC then use witches to kill it and what not but it will take up way to many troop slots and the queen is still alive.....

what you should do is this

use a golem kill squad (1-2 golems, 0-3 wall breakers and 3 wizards...cookie cutter set up...might need to tweak it) and send it towards enemy archer queen. Use the golem(s) to tank for wizards while they clear a path allowing your King to head towards enemy AQ. Use wall breakers and a jump as needed. You King kills the their queen.by this time the CC should empty and lock onto your golem. Drop a lightning on them and if theirs a dragon use queens ability your King and Queen will mop up any left overs

Now your queen should take out 1-2 ADs. If you use 1 golem she takes out 1 if 2 then 2....


now all of those things should happen quickly...

next send in the hounds. If you used 2 golems you take 3 hounds of you used 1 golem you take 4

lets just say you took 2 golems and have 3 hounds

there are two ADs left and they should be somewhat next to each other.

Send 2 hounds towards one and release your loons 1v1 against all towers that the hounds are tanking. Use a rage to get loons to first AD while releasing 3rd hound to the last AD and some more loons. (You'll have like 10 loons so save 4-6 for 3rd hound)

work them hem in a clockwise manor. This helps keep your pups alive. You'll have a few spots left over so use them as trash clean up. Release them at this point.

Here is a typical Shattered (2 golem) LaLoon build

kill squad

2 golems (1 golem plus 1 maxed golem in CC. Golem level>hound level)
3 wizards
3 wall breakers
1jump
1 lightning

Main force

3 hounds
16 loons
2 goblins
2 rage

Don't ever use quad, Penta is the way to go. Lure cc with a couple of loons or hogs and then kill in the corner with royals. Deploy 2 hounds per ad and loons behind. They will sweep the base and destroy.

How do you deal with the AQ now that pups don't swarm? I haven't tried pent in a while

I use it to push and farm at masters II and I use 4. You are looking for war I assume so I can't help much

8 hogs, with 2 heal spells
4 lava (one in CC)
17 loon, with 2 rage
5 archers

drop 4 hogs where you dropped 6, use heal, the kill AD and mortar and draw out ALL the CC troops, use archer to draw troops to the right side, then use heroes/archers to take care of troops, drop 4 hogs with heal to take out the right AD, drop quad lavas, then loons in a proper fashion, lavas will live long enough, even with the AQ beating on them, only 2 AD's... rage properly, win.
