Possible New and More Effective Use of Infernos Towers

So the most powerful defense in the game the Inferno towers are always in the very center of the base. They aren't used until the enemy makes it halway through your base.

So my theory that I have tested a little is to separate the inferno towers a lot and to even possible create two tinier bases linked together in the middle like this.

Notice how extended the Inferno towers are from the center. This way the Inferno towers cover most of the base.

This however, is still a theory. I would appreciate if yall could discuss what you think about this and if it could be used to create new innovating bases. It also would be great if yall could test it along with me and report you findings.

Spread out inferno may not be a bad idea (it merits testing), however I wouldn't put two teslas so close to the IT as one freeze will take all 3 out. Also, all 3 AD in one spot on the bottom is just asking for it .... lastly, a teaser base only works if you have lots of traps and high DPS there to kill the army, and your base doesn't do that.

What are you trying to protect against? 3-star or 2-star? Someone robbing you of your dark elixir?

If it's not covered by 2 infernos, it's vulnerable. In war, if a non-maxed th 10 doesn't have centered infernos, I know I can most likely get 2 stars on it (being a th 9). The same goes for dark elixir: If it's not in the center, and/or not covered by two infernos, it's possible to get it.

If your aim is to avoid someone taking your townhall and barching for a 2nd star, spreading them out makes sense I suppose. For most other goals it will be more useful to have the highest possible concentration of dps in the center of the base.

This. The reason why most people put their dual infernos in the center is to guard the single Dark Elixir storage.

The way to structure a base layout depends on what you desire the base layout to accomplish. If its to prevent 3 stars, maybe your idea might work. But if its to defend the DE storage, then maybe spreading out your Inferno Towers may not be such a wise idea.

Well I did say that the base is just an example of the idea. I created it at 2am half asleep just to get ideas down.

Yes I don't think it will be an end all be all type of thing. It all depends on what you want your base to do. Also like all things there are advantages and disadvantages. I think it will work good in bases that want overall better protection and better anti 3-star.

However I think a disadvantage could be if you want to protect a single building in the center like DE it won't protect it better.

When you spread the infernos so far apart it makes it extremely easy to get TH and 50% star... automatic 2 star on a th10 (with gowiwi) when they look like this basically.

How is it easier to get 50%? The IF cover more area.

Attacking one side with freeze spell... Usually in multiplaying I do that even both inferno were both centered together but be sure to deal one at a time I mean on the one side of the inferno not facing both. In war I'm using 2 freeze spells.

Your thought of separating the two IT has merit, you probably need to actually test the base and do some tweak later and give us your feedback...

So far I've found it works great against farming units like barch and giants. Haven't been hit by anything else. Probably since I'm in gold league. It would be nice if people in masters could test this out.

Update its defended pretty well against barch and giants with lavaloonion and gowipe being also defended nicely.
