Attacking a base after the war ends (With tons of detail and revision!)
Hello everyone! Welcome to my newest thread containing my ideas for attacking a base after a Clan War ends. This is an edited and revised version, taken from the most requested solutions on another similar solution I have posted. Hopefully this will make people happy, while also motivating Supercell to work on it. Throughout this thread, I'll try to explain things best I can.
Just like my first thread (The Volcano Mage) this one is detailed. As I stated above, this is so you can fully understand the idea and immediately form an opinion on how you feel about it. Also, I am aware this idea has been suggested a few times. However, it's not one of the more common ideas suggested, and I intend to put much more detail into this one.
So, with that introduction out of the way, let's get to the idea.
The Problem
Has an attack during Clan Wars ever gone horribly wrong? Was there one thing you could have done differently to turn a 2-star attack into a 3-star attack? Did you forget to lure the Clan Castle? Did you accidentally drop a heal spell on the grass?
The problem is, sometimes you mess up in Clan Wars. So, you would want to try that attack again to experiment and find the best way to direct the strategy. Or, maybe it was a different base design than you're used to. You tried a GoWiPe on it, but would a Mass Hog attack have gone better? Or maybe you think there is a different base you could have gotten better on?
This thread intends to offer up a solution to solve these problems - while both making it fun and engaging, and keeping it so Supercell doesn't lose any revenue.
Step 1: Pay a gem fee to unlock the "retry war"
Now, the war has ended. You lost by 1 star. But, now that the war is over, you have an option to retry the war! Beware, this feature will only last until your leader starts the next war, so plan carefully. Another precaution to take is that it takes 25 gems per war to unlock this feature. But, you unlock all of the enemy bases that were available during that war and any army composition you can make with your troops and spells, and any Clan Castle composition possible with your clanmates' troop and levels unlocked.
Step 2: Choose a base to attack, then choose your ideal combination
This starts out how a normal war would look: You can scout bases and attack them. But when you press "Attack" on your desired target, four training screens pop up that you can switch through like normal, when you are training your troops. One screen is for your highest leveled barracks, the second is for your highest leveled dark barracks, the third is for your spell factory, and the fourth is for your Clan Castle, which will be explained more below.
- The Barracks and Dark Barracks: The Barracks and Dark Barracks have no maximum capacity, but they cannot add up to more spacy than your army camps can hold. This will cost no Elixir or Dark Elixir, and will train immediately - instead of the gem for finish training button, there will simply be a button that says "train."
- The Spell Factory: You can only train the amount of spells your factory can hold. This will cost no Elixir, and will train immediately, again, once you press the "train" button.
- The Clan Castle: This is my favorite and most unique part. Since it would be silly for you to request troops just to practice an attack after the war ends, you can choose your desired composition. It will pop up with a screen like the one that pops up when you donate troops. But, obviously, you can not choose more troops than you can hold, and all of your choices will be the highest troops AND troop levels unlocked in your clan. *If your Clan is level 5, they will be leveled up.*
Step 3: Attack and share
Attack the base to try your attack again. Once you finish the raid, you can press "Share" on the overview screen. It will share to your Clan Chat as a "Re-tried War Attack."
Maybe you want to do this to prove you can get 3 stars on a base you got previously got 1 star on, or maybe you want to help another person with a new strategy on the base they attacked! Whatever works best for you.
Conclusion
Thank you for reading this thread, as I have taken to account many user's suggestions. Please feel free to post any comments, concerns, or questions on her. Thanks for reading and happy clashing! And don't forget to check out my Volcano Mage troop idea :)
