Lightning Absorption Building

Let Raiden from Mortal Kombat absorb the lightning spell damage.

Seriously, you want a Lightning Absorber/Arrester as a defensive building beside DE storage? Ahhhhhh... Just like the idea of adding Air Sweeper. But for now, I cannot agree with your suggestion. But we'll see if majority buys your idea.

But, but, but... Just in case Lightning Absorber makes it to the final cut, it can absorb lightning damage within its (small) radius but gets damaged by lightning spell as well.

Wicked idea, but NO. It destroys the idea of targeting the spell to a specific coordinate.

I know anti-zapper threads get a lot of hate for some reason... but this would actually be a neat idea. Lets say a 1*1 lightning rod was added, which absorbs more damage as you upgrade it. It would have other uses besides protecting a DE storage. For example, high lvl TH's in war could place it where their CC troops often get zapped. TH7/8 could protect the AD that usually gets zapped for drag attacks. There's actually a bunch of strategy options that this could add :thumbsup:

There IS a reason why Anti-Zapper threads are being hated on. It's because of the same old ideas that will unbalance the game.

Speaking of which, your idea's already been mentioned. Strategy options? Would be better as Unbalancing options. Why?! The rod that protects CC troops? Well, no more easy war attacks.

Who in god's name still wastes a valuable spell slot with lightning in their war attacks? 2-starring clans, I'd assume? The "lightning rod" proposition is specifically geared towards protecting only the DE storage and you know this. And fine, let's introduce it into the game. But here's how you recharge it: whatever damage the lightning rod absorbed, it costs that much DE to replenish it. Keep the rod health and lightning absorption separate, so that if it gets totally destroyed, you're only responsible for replenishing the lightning damage absorbed by the rod. But if it's truly wanted to be used with various other benefits, and not as a pure counter to zaps on DE storages, then you'll be fine with those stipulations.

Keep in mind, a maxed lightning spell will do about 14-15% damage on a maxed DE storage. So a DE storage offering 3k hit by one lighting will lose about 450 oil. Conveniently, that's the same amount of damage the spell does, and will most likely get absorbed by the rod. There's your trade-off. Still want this stupid rod?

Solution: Accept it and move on.

I got zapped once finally the other day. He got 1000 de. No worries, I'm keeping my eye out for a revenge but I can make double that in ONE raid. So if he's never available for revenge, who cares? I'll do minimum of 10 raids today and probably make 20k in DE.
