Lightning Absorption Building
Hi, my name is Blob and I have been playing Clash of Clans for quite some time now so I am rather experienced. I'm not positive that this has been suggested before, or that the solution I am proposing has been suggested before so I would like to make a thread myself.
Problem: I think all players with dark elixir storages face the problem of having pests come and lightning their dark elixir. When the attacker has 4 or 5 lightning spells this can do significant damage to the storage and subsequently can lose you over half of your dark elixir. All this happens BEFORE the player has to deploy troops, before they display any level of skill whatsoever.
Proposal: I propose that Supercell should implement a building which absorbs lightning spell damage. Perhaps you have to arm it with a resource, perhaps not. It would not be the teslas because there are 4 of them, and that gives far too much coverage for the defender against lightning spells across the base. I think this building would only cover a small space (perhaps only 1 building). I do not think this would hurt decent attackers either. If a player were to use this building to protect their dark elixir storage, they would have to leave space in their walls for the building which would force them to de-centralize their dark elixir (making it easier to get to via an actual attack). I believe this would be a tremendous addition to the game because I do not see any drawbacks. It only forces players to become more skillful in their attacks which is really the point of the game.
Now I understand if the post is assaulted for being a bad idea, but I believe their are enough people who hate getting their dark elixir lightninged that it is reasonable to suggest this.
