Unused elixir! What to do?

I met this situation for the first time. I have a lot of unused elixir. I can only use elixir to train troops and for the spells. There is a another option, the wall upgrade. Unfortunately I have level 7-8 walls (mostly level 7).


I've got an idea to solve this problem: If anybody have done the available elixir upgrades (troops, spells, building, etc), I think, the wall upgrade for lower level walls (7, 6 maybe) with elixir could help to fix the unused elixir. But only, when you have already upgraded everything with elixir.

Search for topics and read the stickies before you post. This has been suggested SEVERAL times already but its not going to happen. Ruins the economy of the game.
