So your concern is that people would get upset if they saw you on and you don't respond to their every demand? If someone is that needy, there is a larger issue than privacy within your clan. Though I haven't had to deny someone troops due to resource shortages, but I'm just a farming boss I suppose:D

Added #10, another handy enhancement I don't see being a problem to implement.

Or you could just say up yours I need de (in a polite way) because it's selfish to assume that if you have something you want to share it.
