th 9.5 ???

I'm in about the same position as you regarding base upgrades but behind on walls. I have left cannons and mortars at TH8 level because I don't see the additional benefit of their upgrade vs dumping that gold into walls. My thoughts are to upgrade defenses that stop 3 star attacks and cannons are ground only. I've been happier having lava walls in front of my AQ to slow down cb/shattered attacks. In the end, it might depend on your clan and what you enjoy. We won 90% of our wars before I did this and still do, so is there really a difference?

I just can't seeing staying at TH9 and working on heroes and walls. I'm gaining very little in offense, just a hero level here and there. My defense if fine, don't care to improve it. Moving up to TH10 gives me the ability to improve my offense again, but not building the new defenses will not hurt my clan in war. Why would you stay at or near max TH9 and go against TH10s, with TH9 offense? At least if you upgrade, you will have the offense to deal with it, while attacking the same level bases.

Sooo many times I just wanted like 10-20 more camp space for an attack!! Plus an extra spell will be very very useful. Not sure what troops I should upgrade first. I would do the freeze spell, but it looks like it adds a lot of weight. Although level 5 freeze would be amazing!! I want to be sure I don't push my war weight into the TH10 zone.
