So, ive been watching GoHo videos from Onehive, JTJU, and many others. But the thing is, i still dont know whats the 'best' role for golem.
Is it for coring and search for DGB? Or is it to distract as many defenses buildings as possible? i hope you guys can help me. Thank you :)
I see them used in videos for multiple roles at once. Like help kill AQ, get rid of some defenses, trigger a DGB spot, all at once.
In general having some troops fulfill multiple roles at once is better than having different troops for each different role. The overlap helps save troop space.
Thank you for your respond. Yes i agree with you, but there must be something like its 'main goal' and thats what the real purpose of using that troop. Fulfilling multiple roles at once ,like you said, is just a 'bonus' i think.Quote:

With all due respect, I completely disagree with this, especially since this is focused on TH8. TH9? You want the AQ for certain, but that doesn't exist at TH8.Quote:

The Golem needs as much health as possible when starting a hog run, as it needs to tank for wizzies/witches/whatever to torch various defenses. If you're fortunate enough to get, say, 5-6 defenses banging away on him (which is what you want), he'll be in pieces by the time you come through with your hogs.
As far as the B King goes, yeah, I'd love to get him at the same time, but that's simply a bonus. The B King is seldom the difference between a successful run vs. a failed run. I've run right into the B King numerous times and his impact is often negligible.
#1 priority for a GoHo with the golem is to either distract as many defenses as possible and/or take out GB/DGB locations. All else is secondary and it really isn't close.
The OP is asking the key question---which is more important? Extremely difficult to answer and I guess it depends on the base and how you are going to attack it. I've literally focused on different things, on different bases.
If I had to rank them, I suppose I'd give a slight nod to taking out DGB location first and foremost (you're likely done if a significant number of hogs get torched by a DGB), then distracting as many defenses, then taking out single GB locations.
Destroying/distracting defenses is often crucial to a good/successful run, so it's probably 2nd most important thing in my mind.
You can heal through GB locations if all else fails.
