Clan Alliances and Joining Fee

I know both of these ideas might have been suggested a few times, but if it helps I'd like to add my support for them.

1. Clan alliances should be implemented into the game. Alliance chat would be useful for when you want to lead your own clan and to do so you'd have to leave your current clan, but you've made many friends in your current clan and you don't want to have to keep leaving the clan you created in the hands of some untrustworthy noob just to be able to say hello to friends in a differing clan. Having clan alliances would also prevent you from accidentally attacking one of your friends when you're randomly attacking people on the world map. Any member of your alliance, no matter what clan they are from, should be able to donate troops to your clan castle. Alliances between clans would also cause a clan that split into two clans for farming purposes to be able to keep in contact with each other.

2. The implementation of a clan leader being able to set a joining fee for his/her clan in the form of GOLD. I know what you're probably thinking, "Troll leaders can just make a joining fee and when noobs join they take their joining fee money and then kick them out. Herpa-derp." I've thought about this and there are several ways to prevent this. One would be that the clan leader does not receive said fee. Instead the gold would simply disappear, and the player who paid it would join the clan. "But the leader can still troll and kick the player out, making him lose that gold for nothing," you say. Wrong. If a member is kicked out of his clan, the amount of gold he paid to join would be returned to him with no complications.
The actual point in having a joining fee would be as an added test to see if the player is truly worthy of being a part of your clan. I'm sure you can think of more reasons for it too.

This kind of just sounds like having one big clan

So u can talk to feeder clans but no donating between two clans one down side is good clans will be hounded for an a alliance example north 44

I guess you could look at it like that, but it isn't really. Think about it, the leaders and elders in one clan can't do anything to change the clans they're allied with in any way besides giving their allies troops, and the main purposes for allies are to talk to your friends in other clans and so that you can't accidentally attack one of your friends when randomly attacking others.

Why do you think inter-clan donating is a bad idea?
Hmmm, and yes, alliance request spamming does present quite the problem. A few ways to fix this would be to include a feature that prevents clans from sending your clan alliance requests, while still being able to send requests yourself. That would solve the problem of the top 200 clans getting spammed. Another method of preventing alliance request spams would be to make it that each clan can only send one request to each clan that they want as an ally once.If clan A refuses to accept the request, then clan B would be disabled from sending clan A a request for 24 hours. Clan A should also be able to block clan B from sending them another request for alliance for as long as they want.

What keeps me from forming a bogus clan and setting the fee high to hide gold? Also do you get the fee back if you leave the clan vs. getting kicked?

You mean it holds them hostage, unless of course you always get the fee back in which case it does nothing.

He now says, you get it back. Therefore, you are right, it does nothing. I can get 50k gold, join a clan, request, get troops, and leave, just have to survive with the devastating 50k gold loss for a bit

Good question. There is a limit to how high the fee can be set. The limit would really be up to SC to decide, but I would say about a maximum fee of 50,000 gold as that isn't very much. If you willingly leave the clan, you do not get your money back, as that wouldn't change a damned thing in the case of clan hoppers. If you don't want to lose that gold, don't join the clan in the first place. Of course, a clan wouldn't have to have an entrance fee, it would just be a matter of preference.

love the idea of big clans. that way you can have feeder clans and stuff. i think the donating is ok i mean it could be a little bad but oh well but the fee to join is not good cause they get it back or they loose a littlegold but get donating troups

So this is a hopper blocking mechanism as opposed to a test of worth. No. There are better ways to deal with hoppers that are far less intrusive. This adds a whole level of, "Can you kick me so i can visit clan x?" that is totally unnecessary.

It could be used both as a test of worth or as a hopper blocking mechanism. Also, the problem with having to be kicked to visit another clan would be completely unnecessary if my first idea of having allies was implemented alongside the second one.

There are a number of clans one might want to visit without allying with them.

As I said, most likely not all of those clans will have entrance fees, so one will not have to pay to join every single clan. Even if they all had entrance fees, the price might only be 10k or even 100 gold, also considering the fact that the only people who visit multiple clans have only made that many friends because they've been playing for a while, which in turn means that a 50k entrance fee wouldn't be taking much out of their coffers.
