Fun way to get a shield

Does this happen a lot? I'm a pretty fresh TH9 and my TH is way outside my base. I went to work thinking the worst that could happen to me was the loot cap, but I stand corrected. I'm thinking about putting my DE storage next to the TH to save me G and E when I'm at the cap.

Without seeing your base and simply looking at the troops used in those replays, those are both very much basic farming armies.

If I could take as much as I could from you that those guys took using those troops, I probably would too.

But the fact is that you ran into a bit of bad luck because many players would just snipe your TH and move on instead of unleashing the way they did.

But really, that last attacker who got 88% on you, it was clearly worth it for him/her to do a full attack on your base considering the resources available.

If your base appears to be that easy to steamroll and you are showing that much resources, it's bound to happen from time to time. Part of the reason why people like to max their bases, even if it may be slower progression. Rushers will justify this attack on you saying they attack so much and so often, they'll make back what was stolen in 30-40 minutes so who cares.

I'm totally cool with a steamroll and I don't expect a snipe when I am capped out (especially in gold III), it's the guy who steamrolled AND didn't bother to take the TH with it, AND managed to get only 37% on me. The top 2 attacks are only a few minutes apart. So I lost 550k gold in a very small space of time.

Impo it is luck what attacker you get. Some will just snipe. But some will take your free loot and then go for the rest.
If you move up in leagues youre more likely to get a snipe for league bonus, but maybe offer them 1 store too.
Ideally of course its best to log out without all 3 resources available. If your builders all busy then i guesss you couldnt use the loot anyway heh.

And your idea is downright silly, as a TH9 you need to be getting, keeping, and using as much DE as you can. With getting the AQ, and from being constantly starved of DE from TH8, with the ability to get those drills to lvl 6, you should be playing alot of catch up to upgrade units and have your heroes more or less constantly upgrading.

Thanks for the responses guys! If it was just an unhappy accident I'll keep the DE inside.
