Long story short I get attacked. I rapidly push revenge for 10 min. And some how the guy is attacked while I'm pushing button. I literally was pushing it so fast idk how someone else could have attacked him. He went from online to attacked in less than a second.
I have had this problem too, supercell needs to do something about it without completely overpowering the revenge button
Not useless. Just bad luck with timing.
A nice touch would be if the revenge button were green when a revenge is available. It's a stupid amount of work to go thru your attack log trying to find one.
I wouldn't call it completely useless. Maybe mostly useless.
I tend to average 2 or 3 available targets on the whole list at any given time. Better than nothing, I consider it a free next.
Hahaha, it really can be frustrating, I hear ya! If I actually do manage to connect while punching the Revenge button, it is kind of like winning the lottery...!

What's more, revenge should trump a shield, without breaking it, simple as that. Shields should only prevent new attacks, quick fix, better game play, more satisfied players.
its worse than worthless, because if you try to train up an army to revenge someone, you wind up sitting on that army for 2 days waiting for you to be online when they are offline but unshielded, and forgo the chance to just barch for some loot like 10 times.
once in my entire COC career I have had a revenge worth doing, I gave up on it eons ago.

If I attacked a couple of hundred players each season, I don't want to be revenged over 100 times. Having the button change to green when a player is available for revenge is useful so I don't have to go through the list.
I think the fairest way is if someone goes offline is rather than go straight in the regular attack queue, the first 10 or 15 minutes they can only be attacked by a revenge, after that anyone can attack it.
Saying that I can't remember last time I did a revenge attack. Not worth the loss of loot bonus.

It's either too much shielding, or too much revenge, which would you prefer, there's no balance.
Maybe, there should be a time limit on the shield breaking revenge, like an hour grace period to get automatic revenge, and if you miss the opportunity then it's back to normal.

I like the revenge process the way it is. If it were easier to do so, I'd be getting "revenged" a lot more which is obviously not desirable. Meanwhile, I exact revenge in a calculated manner (ie it takes some time) and have been pretty successful in doing so.
There is a period of time in which the target will be open to random attackers before it is made available to revenge attacks. This was done to prevent "friendly" revenges in the top leagues gifting 40% shields and defensive win trophies to top players before a random player could get a shot in.Quote:

But yeah, I agree that revenge is rarely useful. Even low level zappers that aren't shielded can't realistically be revenged for a penalty that carries any point.

I've been experienced the exact same thing a couple weeks ago, guess what? When I click revenge button for the first time, it said the villager is under attack under 2 seconds after he/she attacked me! (I watched the attacker attacked my village live). I felt very weird! After 2 minutes, I click on the revenge button again. Then, booyah! I attacked the people I wish to attack 2 minutes ago! What happened there? Maybe a glitch? Haha, but felt really awesome. Last time I used the revenge button was 2 years ago. It's ♥♥♥♥! Either he was online or on a shield. Scrolling through the list to see who is available is also ♥♥♥♥!
I reckon they should replace some, if not, all completed stages in the Goblin map with players who had attacked you and get your revenge there for a certain amount of 'X' loot and stars. Once you had your revenge, a new one pops up within 'X' hour from a previous attack. You will be given 'X' number of hour/s to get your revenge. Like the goblin map, but only the attackers village, regardless whether that player is off or online.

that attacker didn't even take the de in the collectors, he just gave a shield because M2 bonus.

If people want to complain about revenge being useless they should blame the high level champion che@ters that made SC change revenge and make it even harder than it used to be. People in Champ were revenging 'friends' and stopping at 40% to give them a free shield and trophies so SC changed revenge so that now when a player goes offline thier base is open to normal MM for a while before it is available for revenge.
