No fun anymore

Well I was one of the dipsticks who upgraded my base to level 10 without understanding the penalty supercell imposed, I have stuck with the lack of available loot to see if there is any improvement, I have to admit i loved looting so i could build up my base, I loved playing clash of clans, but it is not FUN anymore. I feel the % penalties are to high. You upgrade your troops to add bait of spice and even to loot lower players it costs you more to replenish!! And what is the league bonus all about, until you are god level it is not worth getting. Come on supercell make it fun again not frustrating. Or allow a player to down grade a Town Hall and loose the benefits it gave them, help us dipsticks who chomped at the carrot you dangled!!!!

they dangle the carrot but it's you that pulls the trigger and uses the gems to upgrade. They don't force any of you to do it.

If it's too tough, maybe start a new account and start over. This time you'll know what not to do.

Maybe you need to farm more efficiently? There is still a lot of loot to be had out there at TH 9...I know it isn't as good at TH 10 due to the steeper penalties, but maybe this will help:

That thread is a good place to start to evaluate your situation. I know it's not helping that much to know, but you are not the first, nor the last who has done the same shooting your own leg.

I doubt, that the loot penalty will change, as that is ment to protect the low levelers to get pwned by big boys. I think it would be very good, to have a clear warning in the game about the loot penalty, but I doubt it will happen. Reason for that being, gemming is a way out of the pit you dug yourself into.

My advice, take it slow, build your offensive power up and go rob the little ones around 1200-1400 trophies. And if the fun is completely gone, perhaps looking for something else to do might not be the worst idea :)

I agree, make sure your using low cost troops! Plan attacks that your gain more then you make be challenging but the fun of the game!

Showing your base would help us helping if you should start to over or not

You joined the forums 3 months ago and you don't understand the loot penalties until now?

What level are you troops? And post a pic of your base. So we can give you some good advice. I've been there before with town hall 9. More than likely your just going to need alot of offense to dig yourself out

It is a valid point, but so is this: not everyone spends hours a day pouring over every thread on the forums, is familiar with participating in a forum, or knows exactly where to look.

All of this blaming the players for not knowing because we on the forums and who are familiar with its use think that everything is common knowledge is just plain sad, tethering on a real sick and vapid form of arrogance and elitism. Far too many people getting off on being in the "know" while others simply were or are not.

Try to be a little more sympathetic and helpful, why don't you?

This issue has been raised before with overwhelming support from the community for some change from the developers. Meaning, we want to see some kind of in-game message alerting players to the fact that looting percentages change when upgrading your TH. And we are still waiting to hear back from SuperSteve after he said he would talk to the devs about it.

It is no wonder there are so many TH 8 and 9 members out there not participating in the forums with arrogant people running around everywhere jumping at every chance to tell them they are stupid and that their thoughts and opinions don't matter.

What chance does Gotham have when the good people do nothing?

The members who are even semi-conscious of this issue need to speak up.
