So I have been attacked multiple times where they are only attacking me with 1 goblin, often barely getting any loot. I am just wondering why they do this. Anybody know???

trophy dumping
They are dumping trophys do they can raid lower level players. Read a few forum threads they'll tell you all about it.
*facepalm*
All you need to know is that they don't like trophies and you get free trophies so it's a win win situation unless you don't like trophies but that would make you one off them so you would know why they are doing it and then this thread would be completely pointless unless you want to boost your posts to get the senior member badge which is also pointless because it has no extra advantages apart from it meaning that you have made more than 100 posts which is also pointless because it says how many posts you have made below....I think I might just shut up now....
Dont forget some players realise that they cant win especially lower players looking at a wizard tower then instead of wasting all the men they will retreat.
I agree that this is probably rare and the others here have explained as to what their main intentions are.
To fix this problem Supercell should implement using ALL your troops when you decide to play.
Farming will then be expensive.
Why don't you actually read the forums before you post?
Your anti-farming solution would actually hurt the normal players who go to battle a fair fight with a full army. It would diminish the attacking strategy of the game. For the farmers, they would only train one gob at a time. It would make it longer to drop trophies, but not more expensive.
That is stupid. This solution hurts everyone not just farmers. Whether I'm farming or not, why should I have to deploy all of my troops if my target is so poorly defended that I don't have to? It's also not incredibly uncommon to accidentally deploy a troop when you didn't want to. I'd much rather it just cost me a few trophies instead of a few trophies AND MY ENTIRE ARMY.
You personally may deploy all of your troops with each battle. If you do, that likely means you're simply terrible at troop deployment or are so low level that you don't have that many upgraded camps. Either way your noobishness isn't cause to screw the rest of us.
Lol looks like I hit a nerve that only farmers would respond to.
If you want a challenge and maximum loot then I'm assuming that you keep looking for matches and not just pick the first one.
I don't think any non farmer would have a problem deploying all troops to a challenge especially when there are sufficient funds to take.
I may be a noob at this game but I've never played any games as a noob.
I assume that I'm responding to a member that's halve my age and has halve my gaming experience.
I've played games and taken them serious for over 30 years ,probable 20 when we had the first pc that wasn't the size of a house.
Frankly your comments aren't intelligent or add to problem solving more than attacks on members.
You should think before you type and if you don't agree with an idea at least be civil about it and respect the other member.

No just smart people. As I said this would hurt everyone, not just farmers. Do you normally favor solutions that attempt to change the behavior of a specific group by hurting everyone?
If you want a challenge and maximum loot then I'm assuming that you keep looking for matches and not just pick the first one.
I'm not sure what this has to do with your proposal really. If you want a challenge, the way to do that is to boost your ranking not handicap yourself. To each his own though. You can certainly choose to deploy all of your troops whether you need to or not for the challenge of spending more time and resources building them. That doesn't mean everyone should.
I don't think any non farmer would have a problem deploying all troops to a challenge especially when there are sufficient funds to take.
You're right in that a few people would take issue with that. This also includes farmers. I have no problem deploying all of my troops if I need to. That's not what you suggested. You suggested that Supercell force you to deploy all of your troops whether you need to or not. You advocate the removal of choice. One would think you'd understand your own argument and its implications.
I may be a noob at this game but I've never played any games as a noob.
Um I don't even...what...
I assume that I'm responding to a member that's halve my age and has halve my gaming experience.
Your assumption is likely incorrect. Either way, that doesn't make what you said any less dumb. Plenty of older people fail at "Are you smarter than fifth grader?" too.
I've played games and taken them serious for over 30 years ,probable 20 when we had the first pc that wasn't the size of a house.
So? That experience certainly doesn't appear to have educated you much. Regardless the amount of time you have spent doing something doesn't necessarily mean you are good at it.
Frankly your comments aren't intelligent or add to problem solving more than attacks on members.
What would you know about intelligence?
You should think before you type and if you don't agree with an idea at least be civil about it and respect the other member.
You should think before you type and don't advocate for changes that punish all players for the perceived transgressions of a few. If you want to alter farmer behavior, provide them a method of getting resources from challenging opponents that is more profitable than farming. In short make trophies valuable, because right now there is no compelling reason to obtain them and a very compelling reason to ditch them. You would understand if you weren't a noob that um doesn't play as a noob.
There is simply no way at higher levels to obtain the millions of resources required for upgrades at higher levels by fighting people that are higher level...not unless you want to buy gems that is. At a certain point it costs more to build an army capable of getting the resources then you can make. It also takes hours to create that army, meaning you can only attack a few times a day.
Well said Dahimi
Looks like you have a problem with people responding to you aggravated remarks.
Just because you post multiple comments doesn't mean that they are correct or will help the game.
Attacking someones credibility here doesn't make you a bigger person. It just means your another forum Troll.
My idea would work.
Why would you need to train multiple troops to capacity if you thin you dont need them and deploy them.
Just train the maximum number you think you would need for the trophy level you are on or look at the specific player layout before you start.
Being such an expert Im sure you can figure this out quickly if you have played over and over again. (just like when training apes or chimps)
I dont think my idea is "stupid" at all.
A stup idea would me me saying to deploy 2 troops for a win (this is an example of a stupid remark)
I take offence to the term "Noob" as many others do.
Ive looked at some of your posts and its not impressive.
Have respect for others and you will earn the same.
Your post count doesn't count towards credible remarks.
If your main goal is to nerf farming, it just wouldn't work. For reasons why, see my earlier reply to it. IMO, if you want to nerf farming, SC should provide incentives to keep our cups high. But since this isn't the topic of this thread, I won't go into details here.
You'll get free gems from unbreakable achievement, even though yr base may be far from unbreakable. Free trophies if you like them. Free revenge if you're revengeful, just drop a cheaper barb back. For the 1-gob dropper, they get what they want, i.e. to drop trophies. Win-win.
Looks like you have a problem with people responding to you aggravated remarks.
I have no problem with you responding to me. Respond away.

Um...ok...so you've decided to attack my post count instead of my ideas. Not sure how that is relevant.
Attacking someones credibility here doesn't make you a bigger person. It just means your another forum Troll.
It is you who are attacking my credibility. I am attacking your ideas.
My idea would work.
No it wouldn't. Farmers would merely train one barbarian, deploy it, repeat. They would then do the exact same thing you mention below. That is train the amount they thought was necessary. Your idea, in fact, would just make the game a lot more tedious for everyone regardless of what they were trying to do.
Why would you need to train multiple troops to capacity if you thin you dont need them and deploy them.

Because training troops takes time. It makes sense to train as many troops as you can (say while sleeping, taking a break, or whatever) and deploy them as needed. This allows you to attack more frequently without waiting. This goes double now that troops don't die when camps are destroyed.
I dont think my idea is "stupid" at all.
A stup idea would me me saying to deploy 2 troops for a win (this is an example of a stupid remark)
People seldom voice ideas they think are stupid.

@Dahimi and Aussiebob
go play some CoC, destroy villages, and come back here and make nice, after all you don't want to be moved to the naughty list ;)
I often disagree with what dahimi says but I think he's right about this one.
Nope, why?
Well you used to have more patience, more polite and nice to people, with little sarcasm
lately you sounded more and more like Rauta
Having the patience of a cow is what Im renowned for, please forgive my short answers.
Im a little frustrated with my net connection in my new house, it lags so hard I have to be brief.
Throws out my cheery vibe :(.
Warm regards as always peeps, apologies for appearing blunt or short with posts and forum clients.
