I agree, you never want to give up and easily give the enemy 2 stars. Even with a TH9, if you get all your walls and defenses at least up to the strength of a TH8, it is possible for your defense to only give up 1 star, even if attacked by a fellow TH9.Quote:

Honestly, I'm not a fan of this base.
In my opinion the DGBs are poorly placed. Firstly, a dgb set should never be in front of the AQ and secondly it is rather easy to come from the short side. If you want to make a good working dgb you need a hog ring.
Also the WTs are very poorly placed as well, you want the WTs to be out of range of the ADs while the ADs are still in range of the WTs.
You also have a lot of point defenses on the outside, making a surgical hog rather easy.
Your teslas are also not placed correctly. You should use them to make pathing smoother to the dgbs or to path loons away from ADs. Teslas can also be used in a way to counter surgical hogs. There is a thread on the reddit subforum about how to defend properly against this.
I would advice you to watch the videos from OneHive Raids on building an anti 3s base. It may be a little outdated now but it still has a lot of good information.
