Im not him but I assume they are working really hard on their next game that needs to be submitted to Apple by the 20th this month before Apple closes for christmas.
I've been wondering the same thing. This is by far the most silence and longest space between updates since I started playing in September. I'm sure though that it's only because there is something super coming out and they are just saving the great news :-D (I'm being honest here lol)
They knew they were losing money (gem purchases) with people farming and needed to increase the incentive to raise your trophies and fill your gold tanks with gem purchases. I'm pretty sure their numbers (sales) can show clear correlation between release of threads like Pedro's infamous "how to farm" post and a decrease in gem sales. I spend roughly 60,000 now before I find a decent village to farm. So, they now have a nice little gold sink as well if people insist on continuing to farm. I'm at the point now where it costs 2mil+ to upgrade anything so yeah...I'll probably just gem these purchases since farming really sucks now.
The recent changes also indicate something to me-that they are working on a big update for Spring.
Also, I'm certain that they are getting ready to release a new game to add to Supercell's lineup. They've learned from their mistakes and are ditching the facebook-only market and sticking with iOS. Sorry Android fanboys, you'll have to find another game to play.
There are enough "internet cops" here that all he really needs to do is check his inbox for tattletales and close threads as needed. Then go back to drinking his coffee and working on the update and other things for Supercell.
This was a server side freshen up, blow the cobwebs out from Halloween etc.
And some not for public consumption tech updates.
Oh and a side note we are always working on new content.
Warm regards, sneaky.
High probabilty of loot change and matching. These staff suck at customer relations.
