Idea to Help Stop Auto 3-Star TH7 on TH7 War Attacks

The air sweeper helped TH7 a little bit in defending against other TH7s, but it is still a gimme for any TH7 with 200 troop capacity and dragons.

My idea is to only increase the TH7 army capacity size to 180, as opposed to 200. At TH8 the camps would then be able to be upgraded to fit 200 troops. This also works well, because as of now, there is no increase in troop capacity from TH7 to TH8.

Just an idea...let me know if you have any opinions, or see any obvious holes. I do think tweaking is necessary, though, to bring some counciousness back into the TH7 war attacks.

Not needed. I was in TH7 before air sweeper, and I was rarely 3 starred in wars. Just design your base better.

Auto 3 star th 7

10 lvl 2 drags, 4lvl 6 loons if available or an 11 drag, 3 lightning spells.

-use 3 lightning spells to kill most difficult AD to access or highest lvl, funnel drag and loons to other ad.

-This has 100% success rate even with air sweeper

i agree is almost a guarantee but how is removing one dragon from the equation going to = a non sure 3 star. With the drags like that I have seen almost all raids end up with at least 5 drags remaining. That one dragon will not hurt the outcome at all.

at the same point, I have seen A LOT of weaker th 8s get 3 starred just as easy with level 2 drags. Only once you hit mid to max th8 is it harder to drag a th8 for sure 3 stars. A max th8 that is properly laid out is almost always a 2 star unless the dragon user is very skilled in their use ( or very lucky). That being said, in mid th 7 to mid th 8 drags are just a powerful attack. Removing troops will just make any attack other then drags almost impossible in regular circumstances.

I don't get what your saying, removing 1 drag isnt going to = a non sure 3 star attack. I just gave him a sure way to 3 star any th7, but ya I agree it's the same attack up to mid th8s. And yes, a skilled th 7 could probably 3 star any th 7 with about 7-8 drags and 3 lightning spells. My use of lvl 6 loons is just a preference over a drag in the cc. instead of winning with 5 drags left, id wage that you'd win with 6 :)

You are wrong.

Show your layout that was "rarely" three-starred by other TH7's using dragons, and I'll shut up and believe you. But as of now, I have not come across a TH7 that I could not mindlessly 3-star using dragons.

Also, I'm not complaining that I am getting three-starred...as that is a given as a TH7 in war, and I have accepted it. I am bringing up the fact that attacking in war takes no skill or thought at TH7. This is the only town hall level that this is true for in war.

This, to me, is the biggest balance problem in the game.

I hope you know the max troop capacity for th 7 is like 185 troops. Town hall 8s already have 200 space :facepalm:

The max troop capacity for TH7 is 200, and so is TH8. That is part of my point, too big of a jump from 6-7, and none from 7-8.

This change in capacity is just a thought on how to fix the mindlessness that war attacks become at this TH level, I'm sure there are other ways. Nonetheless, as I mentioned before, this is the biggest imbalance of the game IMO, and will hopefully be addressed.

I guess they changed it. When I was th 7 the max was 185. So yes I am partially correct. Also, removing army camp space won't solve the issue.
