I'm not being rude for the sake of being rude. I want to strike a chord - to make a point. The all dragon attack is UNDENIABLY an extremely effective attack. I just feel that when you have such a variety of troops available, but the same ones get used time and time again.. perhaps that warrants a change (or OPTIONAL change) in the rules.

I mean you're mad about it now but think about it like this. once you hit max town hall 8 if you're still using all drags and haven't branched out into anything else you'll suck at 9.

War attacks made with several mixed troops rarely, if not ever, get a 3-star result. Your idea doesn't work regardless of the TH level taken into consideration.

Just consider for a moment that maybe 3 star attacks don't NEED to be the norm.
My objection to the AllDragon is that it's tedious.
If both you and your opponent clan opt for this troop restriction, then the playing field is completely level. It will just motivate attackers to try different attack combinations,.. Utilize those troops that SC has already designed, but are less often used because they don't work as well.
It will behoove us all to design an alternate war base for the defense against a mixed troop attack.
We will all see some more 0 & 1 star attacks - PLEASE TELL ME how is that a problem?

HERE IS MY ASK OF YOU DOUBTERS:
In your next war - just consider what troops you may use if you could only use 50% of any one troop type - KEEP in mind that, in this war, 2 stars is a GREAT attack, & 3 star is fantastic.
AND.. how might you modify your base for defending - (with the knowledge that your opponent is likewise restricted) - to at the least shoot for a 1-star and possibly a 0-star defense?

In the end I see the result of this OPTION as being more variety in the attacks and defense. And instead of trying to create new ultimate troops, just get more use out of the troops that have already been designed.

first, you cant call dropping a lightning spell to the highest level ad "brainless". it's the person's strategy to drop those lightning spells and drop all his dragons to an area to ensure a victory.

then, as many people said before, this would cripple many attacking strategies and would increase clan search time (and then resulting into a mismatch).

third, please tell me if you can call my 'strategy' "BRAINLESS"

1. drops bk to clean up side buildings
2. drop a drag to clean up on another side
3. drop rest of dragons
4. drop cc hogs and give them heal spell
5. drop rage spells on drags in desired places
6. sit back and relax. wait for the win

would that be called brainless? if yes, please tell me.

next, every attack in coc is planned. even the simple 10+1 drags + lightning.. even the cheap Barch is planned.

lastly, if you always get 3 starred by "brainless" mass drags, then your war base must really suck because even "brainless" can trash it down.

If someone wants to spend 400k elixir to 3-star a TH8, then that's up to them.

There's no thematic reason to implement this restriction. (i.e. Your camps are limited only by housing space.)

If you want this as an option ... and actually believe that other clans feel the same way ... do the following:

1. Change your clan description to: War Opponent: We hate mass-dragon attacks. Please send a representative to visit our clan to discuss 50%-troop-type-army-limit for this war.

2. When the rep comes over, propose you OPTIONAL idea and see if they are on board.

Get 3 opposing clans to agree to this style of war, and both sides stick to it, and then you'll have a little more data supporting the idea that this is actually a needed/wanted feature.

If you actually read my suggestion - it's for an OPTIONAL war selection - You don't have to use this restriction. But only if you want to try something different.

Dude... Since you can readily sum up your strategy in 6 easy steps (rinse repeat). Then you are making my point for me.

What my suggestion will force you to do ( again IF you select this option on a war-by-war basis) is fight a war where you will actually need to come up with a different plan for each attack - that is the "thoughtfulness" I am referring to. And you have 24 hours per war to devise 2 attacks.
Just consider a war where 2 stars is the goal, and 3 stars the exception! Please answer me - How is this a problem?
If you have a GOOD answer as to that question - you will win me over.
