Why GoWiPe and GoWiWi are bad attacks

I feel you're overlooking a simple issue and that is the th10 raid. As someone who does them I can tell you that hogs will not work, they're instantly out of the picture, infernos will sweep them up in seconds. Golavaloon was and still is effective under the condition that you have max troops and lvl 30+ hero's. Any less and you'll fall short of picking off the air defences (2). There is a reason these tactics are so popular and why even the top players use them today. Done right they guarantee the 2 star and on near/max bases that is saying a lot. Designer attacks are of course efficient when done well. I used to be quite a big fan of attacks like gohowiwi but things change quite a lot as do your war targets and such. I just went th10 so I still have my lvl 9 troops and using a gowiwi I got a 2 star on a th10 with lvl 9 wall, lvl 2 infernos, lvl 4 X bows and max wiz towers and AD.

Against TH9s to get 2 stars yes it's a reliable attack.

Against TH8s, no I do agree with you it's an unreliable attack. I much prefer to use Balloonion or All-Drag or even possibly GoHog

Most people use GOWIWIZ, GOWIWIPE AND GOWIPE they are the most stable star giving war composition out there..
any correctly placed compo. Stated can easily get a 2 star. Whilst GOLALOON needs high lvl heroes.
Any hogs Composition/combo needs steady practicing and alot of work to master plus its not always a 2 star let alone a 3star unless you've mastered it and put time to study your opponent which prolly most people wouldn't put the time and effort to do.
admit it, even if 1 single thing goes wrong with the hog nerf plus the precision required you'l be lucky to get 1 star.
overall gowiwi gowipe gowiwipe/lavaloon's is the best thing as far as stable starring is concerned.

plus most people farm while warring so. they'l need to pick their first composition to use at war to upgrade.
practically as an early th9 they'l go for lavaloon or hogs. then once their gowiwipe gets strong enough they'l use that. Most people dont even do that. Sometimes even if their golems is just lvl1 and lvl 1 witches they'l do it over lavaloons.. Then as they get stronger they master it. Ofcourse you'l use what your familliar with the most. Uggggh the irony of habits. I think this answers your question.

Gowipe is the easier and more reliable at th8 than th9. At th9 you have stronger defenses and more walls to deal with. Th8 gowipe is the most consistent 3 star other than dragons, and hogs done correctly, and that includes gowipe variations.

gowipe is fine if you are trying to 2 star at TH9, but that's about it.

As many have mentioned, there are different attacks out there to obtain that third star. 2 star attacks at TH9 is essentially a substandard attack.

False. We 3-star frequently at TH8 with GoWiPe against solid TH8s. It depends on the base

Balloonion? Against a TH8 in war? Please upload some of your attacks, for I don't believe I've ever once seen that work against anything other than an utterly substandard base.

At TH8, Dragloon and attacks involving hogs (GoHo, HoLo etc.) are much more reliable 3 star attacks, and at TH9 and 10 GoHo and GoLaLoon are also much, much better.

They do require extra thought, and extra time to plan, but the extra star is definitely worth it.

And if you are still pro-gowi...- try adding some backend loons for when all the air defences are down send in 2 loons for each air targeting defence left up.

HoLo? Hogs and level 5 balloons? Does this work for max TH8's? I don't get the strategy seeing as both troops target only defenses. Anyone have a good video link for this strat?

It does but only if the base permits it. Basically very centralized ad with some point defense pushed out a bit.
