Why GoWiPe and GoWiWi are bad attacks

I know most of the people who play clash will train up a gowipe or gowiwi for every war attack, will attack whatever base is up and get 2 stars and be happy.

But GoWiPe will only get you two stars, unless you are facing a very rushed target or a very,very bad base layout.

At TH8, Dragloon and attacks involving hogs (GoHo, HoLo etc.) are much more reliable 3 star attacks, and at TH9 and 10 GoHo and GoLaLoon are also much, much better.

They do require extra thought, and extra time to plan, but the extra star is definitely worth it.

And if you are still pro-gowi...- try adding some backend loons for when all the air defences are down send in 2 loons for each air targeting defence left up.

I agree with you. I think a lot of people do. I've just started using hybrid attacks (with Hogs and such), and they're much more effective when you're precise and technical (which is what I strive to be with my attacks). Still, even Jake (who also hates GoWi) has acknowledged that sometimes a base is just screaming for it. And they're not always necessarily rushed or bad bases, either.

Yeah i think against a base with very few compartments it can work, but in general it wont.

As an important side note here, OneHive is amazing. Jake and his Clans are so amazingly adept, intelligent, precise, technical, yet also incredibly versatile. The availability of hybrid army compositions (in other words, more troops opening as you progress through the levels, and more troop combinations being viable at higher levels) is what makes this such a great game. And they're masters at all of them.

I think you just about nailed it OP. I'm a big fan of OneHive! They know their stuff. The Gowipe rut indeed.. yeah I've tried adding loons or hogs backend, prob works well for some, I'm just an awful ground raider lol (except for HOOOOOOOOOOG RIIIIIIIIIIDAAAAAAAAAS!!! :D)

You can still 3 star with gowi attacks.

They aren't bad attacks. They are just base dependent like most attacks.

Yes I know the normal full blown gowiwi will prob not get you 3 consistently...but back ending defenses with loons or hogs will... I've tried multiple goho laloon and are just horrible at them... But I just switch things up with backend loons or hogs and it works wonders...so please goxxxx variants are still great att strats

Exactly! GoWiPe an work at TH8 is you use back-end balloons though, but these attack strategies are very base-specific.

At TH8, hogs and drags are the best attack strategies.

At TH9, it is hogs and GoLaLoon.
