Player Reputation Records?

Hi,

As we all know, when starting a clan it is hard to get good, loyal, reliable members, mostly you will just get a bunch of hoppers and occasionally a player who turns out to be on the good side of the force, and so i propose a new system! to help combat the problem of hoppers! and stuff XD

I propose that you devs would add in a reputation window that can be accessed from the profile of every player, would be serveral things such as:

How many clans you've joined
How many clans you've left
How many clans you've been kicked from
your join date? (i actually really want this one)
how long you stay in a clan on average
etc. etc. etc.


You get the idea

my reasoning for wanting a Reputation window like this is because of recruiting diffuculty,
this idea first came to mind after, a guy joined our clan, said hi, and then left, all in the same minute, one of my co-leaders then remarked to me that they should have some sort of reputation system to make recruiting easier for clan leaders and co-leaders

I think this would be very beneficial to all players and clans as leaders would be able to decide if they can or cannot trust someone very easily by checking their reputation, this would result in stronger clans, with stronger clan structures

Honestly, it's none of your business what my past clan history is.

This is speaking as someone who's only been in two clans in the two years I've played this game. Three if you count our war/feeder clan. The amount of times I join and leave between the two clans would make you believe I was a hopper.

Most of these can be seen as negative statistics and Supercell has always been against negative statistics. They don't even record how many losses you've had... much less record how many clan's you've been kicked from...

This has content beyond your original topic but it is all somewhat related so I am leaving it all in tact. The most important part is near the top in BOLD. SC will never, ever allow this.

Again . . . No. This is a bad idea every time it is suggested because it will cause more, worse problems than "hoppers" already represent. Here is pretty much everything you need to know about dealing with hoppers. Both what will happen if you get your way and how everybody else has learned to deal with 99% of them quickly and easily.

First, SC has a long standing policy of not putting a negative statistic/badge/mark/rank/etc. of any kind on any players profile. They have a fairly strict no name-n-shame policy, as they should. You can accept those ideas as ruled out at face value.

Long story short, you are requesting a way to force people who don't want to be in your clan, who you don't even want in your clan, to be stuck in your clan. NOTHING good can come of this. Bad idea every time it is suggested.

Also, in an effort to not only help the OP understand the horrible repercussions of their idea, here is a list of many of the most common things successful clans do to prevent "D-bag hoppers" from being a nuisance (a nuisance, not a problem). Quoting myself from a recent thread again . . .

Others may chime in with additional ideas but those are the basic ones. Follow those and hoppers will end 99% instantly. Not to mention you will crack a smile when you apply your boots to their crack.

All of us clan leader types have experienced this and learned to preventing through our own leadership skills and clan rules. There is no need to institute a system that will punish the most social and giving players while making the lowest quality players more destructive.
In my time on the forum here I still have yet to see the answer to these simple questions. Why do you want to force somebody that you don't want in your clan, to be stuck in your clan?

The reason Axion's post is important is that I struggled to find a clan worth being in when I first started. I went through dozens of poorly run or inactive clans before finding one I could learn and thrive in. I wasn't hopping, I was genuinely searching. Since then we formed a clan of our own that has become pretty successful but I still jump between 3-5 clans every month, sometimes weekly just to see friends and donate troops. I do this as the leader of a clan. All that movement and what appears to be short term dedication is completely false. Many of the most helpful and dedicated players in the game move between feeder/sister/alliance clans daily. For this reason the statistics you are hoping to gather will often be false and therefor useless. So why bother collecting them at all?

Ditto. Plus, I have another account I do a hit of hopping with. I never leave during war and often punch above my weight. I do it to get new ideas and get a fresh look at what other quality clans are doing. I'm pleasant and act respectfully. But looking at my 'reputation' would lead you to believe I'm a raged, teenage hopper. Even the proposed statistics would do little to give you accurate insight into a player being a good clan mate or not.

I think you may have misunderstood my Idea,

I definitely do not want people to be stuck in my clan, no no no, definitely not

Maybe this gives you a better idea:

Say im recruiting in global... say I see this guy,
he looks decent, I inv him and he joins... then says hi and leaves

-OR-
he looks decent, i open up his profile and hit the Reputation tab, in it i see that hes had joined like 50 clans,
and he got kicked from 30 and left 20..
I now know not to waste my time on him

i just want a reputation tab in a players profile that will give you a bit of the players clan history, thats all

You may want a reputation tab, but again, negative statistics are unlikely to be implemented.

Nah. That was just part of my form-letter that I didn't bother to edit out. It is meant as a reply to "prevent hoppers!!!" threads. I just used it here because it was still mostly accurate. I think the best solution to your problem is an actually functional clan search/member recruitment interface. If that was implemented they could do away with global entirely. The recruiting tools in this game are beyond pitiful.

You guys who say that you don't like this idea because you go back n forth between feeder clans, you're not getting kicked from your feeder right?!?? It would show up as leaving, not kicked. And those who said when you were an early player passing r through dozens of clans, I'm guessing the ones that were bad didn't kick you but you left? And if you are a leader with a feeder clan, why would you need a good reputation to join other clans?

Correct, but it would still show that I've been in 4 different clans just this past week. I'm not saying that's a good or bad thing. I'm just saying that number is not an accurate reflection of someone's reputation.

I got kicked from the first 3 clans I joined. Two of which happened within the first 5 minutes of me joining and with no explanation (I assume it was because they could tell I was a noob). The last of the three was because I didn't 3 star a particular base in war. I was also kicked out of a couple others who found it easier to kick new players than teach them to war. I would say I was in about 7 clans in that first month and was kicked from 5. Not a great 'reputation' for a very friendly guy who really wanted a clan he could be loyal to.
