OK, here is one idea. Fix the dang gameplay with attack and defence. You'll likely indirectly 'fix' this DE zapping 'problem'. :rolleyes: If raiding other villages for DE is more profitable and/or entertaining, the DE zapping will be reduced, if not all but eradicated. I know I'd be doing much less revenge DE zaps (with loot snipes and other trolling) if the people attacking me was much more balanced.

I've said before, what I hate most about DE zapping is actually the trophy drops, which pushes me back up League to be a bigger target for TH9s. Most zappers are at my Town Hall level or lower, and I'm patient enough to raid them with a revenge attack, sometimes up to 12 days later (personal record is 16 days later :cool:)

Though, last person that did a full on raid and got my DE storage spent more on army and spells that DE zapping would have been cheaper and more effective. If it wasn't for the fact I'm stuck holding a lot of Elixir, they would have otherwise had paid more Elixir to get the Dark Elixir. So yeah, getting looted of DE and helping pay the attacker's army bill. (when does the fun start back up again for this game?)

Because you are not a moderator so you do not have the power to force people to post here or to merge topics to here. So all you've really done is make ANOTHER zapping thread because guess what, the others will continue to be made and this thread will die along with the rest of them.

The entire point of ideas is throw them out there. if you don't like what other people suggest just don't look at it. The thread has a title for a reason.

Exactly what I am talking about. Almost no one reads them anymore. All there doing is knocking down good ideas.

You haven't waited long enough.

Also, some people tend to not notice threads on the second page and onwards. And making it a stick thread is still iffy, since noobs (not newbies.. subtle difference there) will still make a new thread.

After a point, you'll have no hope of having people follow the 'no repeats' request, because it would be too long for them to want to bother with reading.

To have any hope of getting the effect you want, you'll have to make sure this constantly stays an active thread (having the last post be no older than a dozen hours at the very least) and to constantly read over the thread and updating the first post with a list of ideas already brought up (with links to the posts) so you reduce the chance of repeats.

Basicly, if you want to make sure this isn't 'another zapping thread' and prevent most (but not all) other threads on the topic, you're stuck babysitting this thing.

How about when someone uses these words in a thread: Zapping, Lightning, protect, DE tank, DE storage, shield, Rod,

He gets a warning when he try to post

can the forum admins just delete any duplicated threads, and then let the OP know why it was deleted?

This is kind of an oversimplified mocking version of the idea I have linked in my signiture.

What do you think the threads awhile back 'where are the Mods?' was about? :facepalm:

If they had the time, they would. Heck, at the very top of the thread list, IMPORTANT: RULED OUT IDEAS will now be DELETED! is right there, and says ruled out ideas will be deleted without notice. So not even a PM saying "Hey, your thread was deleted, sorry." by the mods since that'd take too much time to do.

So, yes, they can, but they are overworked and can't get to everything at once.
