Just....lol. Kids are mean, the platform is irrelevant.
AS IF .... age were a safe guard against stupidity or meaness, lol
hope you've finished it by now it is well worth reading, however, the title is completely misleading, bullying in social media is not new and certainly not a unique thing to Clash Of Clans, obviuosly the writer doesn't not only know nothing about Clash Of Clans, but nothing about the virtual world in toto, it seems.
Have Fun

"and then attack others to earn gold and elixirs"
Journalism makes me laugh nowadays. It seems that a prerequisite of being a writer should require some form of remedial English. You do not pluralize "elixir" in this context! At least be consistent and say "earn golds and elixirs." At least his ignorance would not be as obvious.
He attacks our game, we attack his grammar! We are the Grammar Barbarians [or insert any CoC troop]
P.S. 10 year olds are not the only ones who play this game. Unlike yourself, some of us have college degrees, even Master's degrees!
So you don't have one...
Just looks like in real life. I can't count how many people who don't have kids but have so many opinions about how others should raise their kids. And most of the time you realize once those people do have kids, they completely forgot about all those so smart advises they have been given to everyone. catched up by reality.
But I do hope once you will indeed have a 10yo, you'll start reading full ToS/T&C/dismantler from any game they are playing online (knowing that most of them will play 10 games simultaneously and will change games every week). Good luck ;-)
LoL,
Pretty funny article.
I will admit that the article most likely doesn't give the full story, but it APPEARS that kid A was abusing his power as a clan leader and all the other kids got fed up with it and left. Now kid A feels left out and bullied and parents/teachers decided to intervene on his behalf. In reality, kid A's parents should be thankful that he has been provided with an opportunity to learn this lesson here and now as opposed to 10 years later when the consequences of his actions will be much greater.
Seems the term "bully" has become more popular than ever. I won't deny the existence of bullies and bullying, but now people use the term for just about anything to get attention, or justification.
This is an interesting article. I don't know why parents have to intervene in every little thing these days.
Some parents can be really overprotective and meddlesome, even when dealing with strangers. My brother was an admin for a popular Counter Strike server. He banned someone for using ♥♥♥♥s. A few days later, he got a call from an unknown number. It turned out that the banned person was a child and the caller was his mother :saywhat:
In my schooldays, I remember some kid from our locality with whom we didn't want to play badminton (2-4 player game) because we played in tournaments and stuff and didn't want to play with someone who had no hope of even scoring a single point against us. We had a lot of trouble with his parents - one time his father even punctured my friend's bicycle and when confronted, pushed him to the ground. What is even worse is that his son didn't look at all happy with their meddling
