Archer queen or x-bow???

I have some gems and i have enought to get an x-bow or an archer queen but I don't know which one i should get i want defence more then attack because I am not battling much.
please can you tell me what you think I should get and why

Neither. Don't buy resources for them. When you have enough, just speed build the Xbow to level 3.

farming 3m can be done in several hours. Farming 40k DE takes longer than farming 3M, but it can be done within 2-5 days. Don't gem resources.

Archer Queen seems the best. I've attacked some places with Archer Queens and they are hard to defeat.

Use your gems to speed the building of either but don't buy resources! It is a waste of gems!

1. don't waste gems on resources. You might opt to use them to speed up build times though.
2. Go for the X Bow if you want defense before you get the archer queen.

I personally avoid to spend gems. However I think the archer queen is a good investment. You can get gold easily, but dark elixir is hard to get
