What's the best attack strat. W/O AQ

my AQ is down for 5 days. What is the best war strategy that you all know of without her. I have been doing GoLavaLoon with her, cc, and king taking out at least 1 AD, cc, and queen with good success. Now that she will be down, should I go back to GoWiWi or stick with loon strategies

It's all bad without your queen... I think LavaLoon/GoLavaLoon is the best among bad choices. At the bare minimum, you have to lure and kill the CC, and kill the enemy queen, before initiating your LavaLoon attack, or you are most likely limited to 1*. And you have to do all that with a minimal kill squad, or you won't have enough troop space for the hounds and loons you need. Prior to the last update, you could somewhat count on your lava pups to kill the queen for you, but that's no longer the case, in my experience.

It's not an easy recipe. I'm trying to keep one hero upgrading constantly, but it makes wars pretty frustrating for me.
