I got harrased in global for standing up for a gay person...
Hey Clashers!

So something happened to me this morning that made me think "God, I have to share this with the Clash community" because it was just so ridiculous.

The title says it all: I got harassed in global for standing up for a gay person. I will not state the name of the person in question (for personal safety) nor will I state the name(s) of any perpetrator(s) ('cuz I ain't no snitch dawg).

Basically, I woke up this morning and thought, ah, a new day! Time to check up on my village! So I grab my tablet, check my village, do an attack, then go into global while I waited for my troops to train. What I am greeted with is a HUGE debate about religion, being a good person, etc. So I thought "screw this!" and just re-watched some of my war attacks.

I come back about 6 minutes later, and someone is talking about the Bible's view of homosexuality. You can already tell some serious shizzle is about to go down...

Let me set the scene here. I am a straight, Christian, 13 year old British kid. Despite the Bible's view, I have my own view and belief (this is about to get deep):
1. God loves everyone. He created us all and he loves us all deeply
2. Gay or not, you are still human, and all humans are equal in that they have all sinned
3. If humans are all equal it is not in any human's right to discriminate against someone because of their sexual orientation
4. If someone is gay and they believe that it is not something God likes (which I do not), is they truly want to become straight, they can, but there is NOTHING wrong with being gay/lesbian, no matter what anyone/thing tells you
Rant over, let's get on with the story...

So I join the conversation, standing up for a person who, bravely, admitted to being gay. (Sidenote, I don't like the word "admitted". It makes it seem like you are confessing something that you did wrong, which is not the case at all.) Some people reacted sort of disappointed, but were kind and not jerks about it, but some said horrible things. I quote "Gays are unnatural and sinners and should go to hell". Long story cut short, I invited him to my clan, we talked a bit and reported the jerks and that was that. I just comforted him and discussed a few things.

It just made me think how many jerks and rude people there are in this world. Clash of Clans is an amazing game where people can just go into a different world and have some fun. Have you guys had any experiences like this before? I hope not =P.

I dunno about you, but the Bible is okay with gays, at least with them living together, etc. All it says is that "One should not lie with a man as one would lie with a woman", which I will not discuss further.

Anyway, I'm sorry you came across this on Global, but the best thing to do is not to be on Global.

Just because this conversation came up in Global Chat doesn't mean this conversation belongs in General. This is Off Topic material. To try to have a serious discussion on the merits of religion and downfall of bigotry on global chat is tantamount to banging your head on a brick wall.

Fair shout OP.
For a 13 year old you really seem to have your head screwed on properly.
I admire what you did 4 the lad being verbally abused/harassed in GC..
Wish there were many more "educated in life" adults let alone teenagers in Global.
Your actions have quite made my day..

Thanks a lot :) I just don't understand why homophobes/xenophobes/racists have to be so mean, and I like to stand up for victims of that sort of bullying, because they cannot control those factors and bullying someone for those reasons is not the right way to vent any sort of sadness/frustration in my opinion.

As the song goes: "Why can't we be friends, why can't we be friends?" :P

The bible makes a lot of sense.

I lie to my wife all the time about buying gems, but I never lie to the guys.
