TH8: When to use GoWiPe, Dragloon, or surgical hogs?

I upgraded dragons to level 3 early on in TH8, so I used dragloon attacks successfully on similar TH8s.

Now that I am a mature TH8 (3 months in), I am facing more and more maxed TH8s with anti-dragon bases. As a result, I would like to learn ground attacks.

So my question is - when scouting a max TH8, what should I look for to determine what kind of attack to use?

My opinion:

Open base with few compartments: GoWiPe

Tight compact base with point defense on the outside ring: Hogs

Square base with a Nucleus of Townhall with ads + teslas + defenses around it: Dragloon with Rage Heal

Exposed ADs: Dragloon

When in doubt: Dragloon

Most TH8 bases can be hogged. When they absolutely can't, then they can probably be dragon/balloon-ed. GoWiPe is only good at near-max TH8 or on open bases.

Definately gowipe, especially if you have high level pekkas and golems. Check this link: http://forum.supercell.net/showthrea...gowipe-hype%21

If you can funnel them correctly in the core where ADs are, and storages are not tanking much: Dragloon

Open base with large anti-hog core: GoWiPe

Compact base with many compartments:Hogs all the way.
