Custom clan ranks
The leader of each clan should have an option to create custom ranks. There is a cap of 8 ranks. New clans would start with only 3 Ranks: Member, leader and Elder with old settings (Pre co-leader update) The leader would be able to choose what these ranks do, name them and delete them without a refund. A rank that has members in it cannot be deleted. The default 3 ranks cannot be deleted, but can be renamed.
New ranks would require a specific clan level and would cost gold from the Leader. Here is a chart to demonstrate:

When the leader buys a rank or decides to edit a rank, an interface with a checklist is brought up. There is a text box where they can choose what the rank will be called that only appears when they are editing a default rank or creating an entirely new rank. This is to make leaders carefully choose what their rank will be called, as if they don't like it they will have to delete and re-add the rank. Ranks cannot have the same name. All boxes are checked for the Leader rank, and cannot be unchecked.
Only the leader can create or edit ranks. They can tick off any of the following abilities to choose the rank power:
Communication powers
-Donate troops
-Donate troops to war bases
-Request troops
-Post to the clan chat
-Send clan messages
-See traps on allied bases (Both normal and war)
Member management powers
-Invite members
-Accept or decline join requests
-Kick lower-ranked members
-Kick lower-ranked members (No cooldown)
-Manage the ranks of lower-ranked members
Settings powers
-Change the clan join type and trophy requirement
-Change the clan description, location and war frequency
-Change the clan badge
-Start and cancel clan wars

Sounds interesting, but 8 ranks is too many, imo.

Clan ranks need to be consistent across all clans..No need to changes.
