As I stated in my pevious post, the research continued while the lab was upgrading after hallowe'en update 2014.

If they have changed it back, there has been no official word on this and I would assume it's the same as it was when I when to townhall 9.

Every other thread like this I have ever seen, the consensus is always that the troop/spell upgrade continues in the background. When you login after the lab finishes, it will have whatever the time was left before you upgrade the lab still remaining, then as soon as you reload the app the upgrade will finish.

Literally every other thread like this that ends up being the answer. I can test it as soon as I hit TH8 (in 5d.. Then 4d for the lab upgrade) but that might be a bit late for you.

Edit: it will only finish if it had less time remaining than it took the lab to upgrade, obviously. Otherwise the timer will show how many days are left as if you hadn't upgraded the lab.

Yeah that's what I was told although my Minions finished upgrading along with my TH

I haven't heard anything official yet either about it. But the last time I upgraded troops and my lab at the same time, my troop upgrade DID NOT pause. Both upgrades were supposed to finish at the same time so once my lab finished upgrading, my troops were finished too.

Prior to this latest update, research continued while the lab was upgrading. I searched for this information before, found different answers, and ended up giving it a try. If you are online when the lab upgrade is finished, it appears that the upgrade paused. Then close COC and restart it and the time to finish will show that the research continued during the upgrade.

From CoC wiki

"If you decide to upgrade your Laboratory while there's a research going on, it will continue the research progression. If you happen to be logged on when the lab upgrade completes, it may appear that the upgrade picks up where it left off. Log out and back on to see your troop upgrade progress reach its proper progress level"

i also tested this when i went to th9 a few months ago and it was true

Well I upgraded my troops and then started the lab, the troop upgrade completed when lab was done. There was no pausing.

It matches exactly the wiki. I have done this twice.
