Why should we be disappointed. It was the best update since clan wars came out a year ago:
.) They fixed the fluffy bunnies at least the worst part of it
.) They fixed loot for th10s and made the fights much more challenging
.) They fixed the problem that defending was too easy at th9/10. Well at th10 it is still too easy to get a th snipe but at least some try it.
.) They fixed op dragon attacks at th8. Dragons are still as str9ng but at least it is possible to make an anti dragon base.
.) They fixed op lavaloon attacks or at least gave way more strategy to it.
Fixing the existing content is much more important than adding more and more random content.
I will never be disappointed with an update that adds new things to the game, however small. What does bother me though is when an update is rushed or poorly checked resulting in bugs upon implementation, or potential game breaking flaws.
This update saw numbers of complaints on functionality, glitches, untested AI flaws and connectivity issues ive never seen before on the forums. Those are the only things that need 'fixing'. Changes in gameplay being whined about are just those who struggle to roll with change, and for better or worse, we should learn to adapt to as part of any game challenge.
Yes you are right there have been several bugs but I think his is because they changed a lot of things in game that we do not see especially the client server communication. I dont know why they did this but I think they will have reasons for this. As a software developer I know how hard it is to ship a software without bugs if you change a lot of the code and it is even harder if his are only internal changes that are not visible.
For troop AI I agree that there are some bugs now but they have to do with the way they handle cc troops now and this change was a good one. cc troops are now again a major damage dealer instead of only a distraction.
Oh and I forgot the most important change of all: They fixed the cw mismatches. Last war was still a little mismatch for us with the enemies having 2 th9s more (7 vs. 5) and their th9s were also stronger but nothing like before where we were facing 4 non rushed th10s with 2 of them maxed without hav8ng a single th10 on our side.
Stopping the whole 9.5 nonsense was also a good idea.
