Currently at TH4 and pretty new to the game. Just wondering should I ever be worried about overbuilding because you can't sell buildings? I built 2 cannons and I'm also afraid to build too many walls.. is there a max amount of building space or will the map expand later? Is there TOO much defense that you can build?

At different th levels, there's a limit to how many of one building you can make. At th10, it still fits with a HUGE amount of buildings. Don't worry lol
Unsure if you're serious or not, but if you are serious, then no, there are no limits, so just keep building!

The only thing you need to be worried about is upgrading your townhall ahead of your troop levels.
You don't want to get to th7 and still only have lvl 2 barbs and archers.
Also not really relevant until later but your war weight is based alot on defense so if you upgrade your defenses and neglect your offense you will be a liability in war. This is really only something to be worried about at th8+ though.
Build everything you can and upgrade them fully. There is a limit to how many buildings and walls are available at each th level.
If you could over build, why wouldn't you want to lol? More walls and defenses, the harder it is to steal your loot.
It's a valid question actually. Some games you run out of room if you aren't smart about what you build. However in this game you have more than enough room for every building you are allowed to build.
Youll have to clear bushes and stumps to make room but you wont run out of room
