Dear TH10 in high masters and Champs...

So I've been in high masters and champs for about 3 weeks now. Currently hovering around 3500 and one thing must be said...

TH10 seem to be the worst and most lazy base designers ever. I pretty much see the exact same 3 base designs over and over... and over again. Same thing in CW, the same 2-3 designs from my mirror max TH10. I suppose I should be thanking these folks as these designs are pretty basic 2* with GoWiWiPe which I'm pushing with but it kills my soul knowing that no one takes the time to design their own base and uses an online copy.

I mean, do these 3 common ring bases with the storage moat really work against so many people? I don't have any pictures to attach because I'm pretty terrible with computers, but anyone currently in high masters or Champs will know the bases that I mean.

I also use the most popular base at the moment but it's effective for my league so I won't change it unless someone 100%'s it.

I noticed the same thing when my nine was pushing around up there....spent a little time when I first passed 3200 yoyoing up and down figuring out each of them for hogging.

You would be surprised how good those bases do till 3600 ish. An easy 30+ defensive wins with a max base anywhere lower.

I know the bases you mean, and yes they are effective.. To a point.

I use one of them myself, and more times than not I only get 1 starred. Should I be changing it because I get starred? No lol. There are a number of reasons why. I shall name some;

1. Using this design more times than not means that the people hitting me are higher up than me, more confident in attacking it as they know how to and generally I lose only 1-5 cups for 1 star.

2. As mentioned before, it usually only gets 1 starred, and that's just the th. When someone attacks me they focus mainly on getting into the th, then what? No defenses close enough to take out first, just resource/normal buildings, whilst all the time being hit by the defense they cannot reach.

3. i'm all for people using these bases, who do not have max defense, don't always have hereoes up to defend, and don't always have cc troops. Soooo easy to raid. So how to promote this base? Use it!

4. I'm not good at making bases, I'm too lazy to make my own base and, kind of too scared to haha! XD

I have my own build, works nice for war and farming.

Personally, I don't use these bases, but I know people who do and they work. Most th10's resign themselves to the fact that you can't stop good players, but you can stop the rest. Walls help bad raiders funnel, so I can see the reasoning for the bases. My friend over 4k says he never sees the design, so it just shows how the effectiveness drops off.

The ring bases defend well against both air and ground that's why they are so common. The problem we have at the moment is air being so strong it's important to have a design that can defend it somewhat. The storage buffer sends the balloons around instead of inside the base as well as golems if you're lucky. Clever attackers can break the circle to get to the centre although just dumping double jumps from a corner to centre works also with late drop heroes. There are a few other designs that play on the placement of the air def to mess up air attacks but they are very hit and miss in my experience.
