I have a similar problem that I'll try to explain.
I was using my smartphone to play my own coc and to take care (growing actions) of the village of my son.
Using 2 separeted google accounts I was able to switch between one and another.
I don't know if I made an error or something else happened.
The result was that using my own google account I received the request to load the village of my son.
Of course I said no.
From that moment I have played off-line.
Worried by the loss of my village I made several attemps without success. At the end I have deleted my google account (it was only for games) and created a new one.
I used another device to start coc using the new account.
Then I tried to start coc on my phone to save the village from it to google.
Nothing.
The google button remains red. I receive the welcome message. It says level 1, like the new village I have started.
Certainly I made the wrong procedure.
Can you help me to recconnect the village to google?

Wanting to try out your theory but, my phone can't install these apk files. When I try to install them, its says app not installed. fml. The phone I am using is a Samsung Galaxy S5.
