Should I upgrade to TH9?

Yes, another thread asking about upgrade readiness... I'm in a clan that's constantly at war and figure I'm probably hurting my clan more than helping our match-ups at TH8. All of my defenses are maxed except for Archer Towers. All my troops are done except for Valks (Minions on their way to lvl 4). I have 123 lvl 8 walls with 102 left at lvl 7. CC is maxed as well as all storages (gold, elixir and DE) and BK (lvl 10). See attached profile and layout.

Your thoughts?

TH8 farming is considerably easier than TH9 farming with th8 troops.

So if I were in this situation, I'd at the very least finish my Archer Towers. As for the wall, doesn't matter too much

If I were you, I would finish walls, you can still get loot from TH7, use it while you can. TH8 troops can be OP against TH7.:o

TH9 in my experience is farming galore vs that of TH8. I suggest you move up ASAP! You don't have to do all skulls then Legos. Whatever elixir you have you can dump it onto the skulls you've done already. Make sure you upgrade camps, cc., get your queen.Depending on whether you prioritize farming over war, I would recommend upgrading barch or get hogs to 5 and loons to 6 as these two units are universal for war. Then upgrade other war troops accordingly based on whether you want to focus on air lavahound or ground first. Since you war I would advise not dropping xbows right away as well until you get a decent th9 war army that can 3 star a th9.

Nope. If you don't do your walls now, you never will and they get really expensive, knocking you way behind. If you play a lot, there's an easy 3-5 months of just new upgrades at TH9, and that's if you play a lot. By then, you'll be sick of 9 and want to go to 10, but your walls still won't be done. If you're sitting there with purple walls at TH10? You get eaten alive.

1. I don't really think you're hurting your clan much by staying at TH8. If anything, you might be hurting your clan more by moving up to TH9 without maxing TH8.
2. I'm in the same exact situation as you. Only have one more lab upgrade and ~100 skulls left until maxing TH8. If I were you, I'd stay at TH8 and finish lab and walls. When you upgrade to TH9, you're going to have an overwhelmingly large amount of things you'll have to upgrade. You want to minimize that margin as much as possible and maxing TH8 is the best way of doing that.
3. If you move up to TH9 prematurely and you're serious about war, farming will be a little bit more difficult as opposed to TH8 farming because barbs and archers will be at the end of your lab upgrade list.

This. I am glad I maxed my walls.

I would max your archer towers then get enough walls done until you have the number of walls left that you think it would take 10 days to get enough loot to upgrade them. Then, upgrade you th. While it is upgrading, you have 10 days to upgrade the rest of your walls. :)
