I've watch a vid from Clash with Cam with his main army composed of Giants and Wizards (No Healers). He said it's a strategy that can rival dragons. While Galadon have an almost same strategy in one of his vids about th7 and calls it the "GoWipe warmup".
Looks promising to use in wars considering it's very cheap and faster to train than a mass dragon attack but can it actually rival or equal the power of dragons in clan war?
Yes it can rival the power of Mass-Dragons in War, but not on the same way.
With Mass-Dragons at TH 7 you donīt realy need skill, you can nearly deploy them anywhere and get three-stars...
That is not possible with GiWi. I refused to take Mass-Dragon when I was a TH 7(used it only a few times, when i didnīt realy know how to attack my opponent). Iīm a mid to max TH 8 now and I even use GiWi now for some base designs with success.
For GiWi you have to have some skills in comparison to Mass-Drags. But you can train this method in multiplayer easily. And itīs not a difficult strategy, too. Depending on the base design you want to attack, you can also take a Healer with you or two. If there is a path in the base design where your Healers will live long you can take them. But often the bases are symmetrical, especialy the ADīs. So in most cases, itīs better to take only Giants and Wizards.
I mostly use 3 heal-spells. Some use 2 heal 1 Rage. Try out what fits best for you in Multiplayer.
If you are a bit used to it, it totally can rival with Mass-Dragons. I rarely made 2 stars when I was a TH 7 with that strategy in war, I think it was 2 or 3 times and one of those I still had lv 3 giants/wizards, another time i accidentally dropped 2 spells in a corner :( I also got used to use Hogs in War when I was TH 7.
At TH 7, you see a lot of bases where Giant bombs are outdside the walls, if that is so, you can use your Lv 1 Hogs sucessfully, too!
Itīs a good decision to use GiWi as a TH 7 in my opinion. In my Clan I see some fresh TH8īs who only did Mass-Dragon as TH 7 every single time. Now they often struggle to get 3 stars at TH 8, sometimes itīs even 1 star. And they also struggle with Gowipe/Gowiva or Hogs, because simply deploying the troops at one spot isnīt enough anymore. Of course they get better with the time, but I or some others who used GiWi as a TH 7, donīt have to fail more than 1 or 2 times until we were able to gowipe/gowiva.
When you are trained with GiWi, you wonīt have a problem with learning Gowipe/Gowiva, the basics are pretty similiar, itīs only the attribute of the Pekka/Valkyries which will be new for you and what you have to train a bit, not the whole strategy.
That is good news, I gues it is really worth a try :) I really like trying out new strategies, especially for war, but can only experiment during multiplayer battles or my second attack and if our clan is a sure win in the war...Quote:

to your question, it can't match mass dragons in raw power and certainty but there should be no problem if you are a decent attacker.
I jiust two starred this th8 base :)..but I had to admit a bit of luck was also on my side this time

Semms like a good strategy if given the chance
For a giant wiz with healer, I have always requested hogs (lv4+). I drop the giants and healer on one side (the side closes to the 1st AD) then the hogs on the other side (the side closes to the 2nd AD) and I tend to use two heal spells for healing the hogs.Quote:

Yes, interesting strategy indeed, IMO, if given the chance to be explored. TH7 is an interesting th level because you get to unlock different new units that I believe new viable 3 star strategies can be made other than Mass Dragons. It just needs some creativity and risk taking or what I call "going out of your comfort zone" to try new things.Quote:

Just wanna revive this...Lately, I have been practicing this attack making it behave somewhat like GoWiPe/GoWiWi/GoWiVa...I don't use a healer though...my main reason why I don't use a healer is because I don't have to worry about the Air Defense...on another note...I think this strategy may or may not be as flexible as I initially thought..but I don't know...
So far I've been only winning 2 stars (around 70% to 85% damage) against good non-rush town hall 7 bases upon practicing this attack but for my practice attacks
so far the standard army I use in practicing is:
18 Giants
15 wiz
26 to 30 barbs
10 to 12 wb
1 rage 2 heal
barch in cc
I don't know if a witch, valk, or hogs in the cc would make a difference though
