Possible resolution to the annoying use of lightning spells on dark elixir storages.

I'm sure we all hate when we sign back on from clash of clans and notice that 2000 of our precious dark elixir is taken from a raid.. Purely of lightning spells. In fact that was all that was taken. Didn't bother dropping down troops or attempting to snipe our townhall, just trading 3-4 lightning spells for a good chunk of our hard earned dark elixir.

This constantly happens to those who have a half to a completely full storage of dark elixir, and we all know getting dark elixir isn't always a piece of cake. The larger the storage, the more lost and the more difficult to get back. After much thought, I have came up with a solution that can benefit the defence in more than one way.

A Lighning Rod..
Not just any lightning rod, but a Giant Lightning Rod. A defencive building that only attracts lightning spell strikes from a certain radius so it damages that instead of the structures around it. I'm thinking a th7 or a th8 introduced building. Upgrading it should increase health to match up with higher leveled lightning spells, lasting about 1.5 or 2 spells. The radius could be increased as well when upgraded.

The best part is the Giant Lightning Rod doesn't even need to be used for the storages only, but could be used to protect defences you don't want to be lightning spelled on like air defences or mortars. I believe this is a very flexible structure and is an excellent addition to the defensive line.

Please consider my suggestion, a lot of dark elixir is unfairly stolen each minute that passes by.

ANYTHING that nerfs only one specific troop/spell is a bad idea.
Honestly, zapping is better than a group of goblins coming and taking the whole storage.
Please use the search function as well. There are literally 1 nillion ideas on things with DE storage and lightning spell.

Only useful if revenge could be done, which mostly it can't

I know its annoying but its just the game. I think if we have "lightning rod" and "Giant lightning rod", lightning spells would be useless except for cc troops. I personally think that this should not be added.

Dont let it annoy you, its a part of the game.
When a TH9 or TH10 player raids my TH7 village and take my DE with queen, I have no chance of defending my village and taking revenge with troops is most likely a suiceside mission.
However taking revenge with a few lightningspells on his DE tank "hurts" him.
And he will think twice becore raiding another lower TH player.
If someone use lightning in an attack you can take revenge, try to destroy his entire village and that player will think twice of using lightning on DE in an attack

nah they wouldn't ever introduce a defence that cancels out spells, that would mean you couldn't use the spells which would effect gameplay
just take ur lumps and go back outside and play

They are a part of the game so cancellation of spells......... just no
