TIps for mismatch complaints threads
We all know a mismatch can happen . My personal experience is that a true mismatch is exceedingly rare but in case you do experience what you feel is a mismatch and want to share , here's some of my tips . Follow or not, clash and post as you will but for your consideration
1 Don't cite an inability to 3 star or two star your opposite
a. It's a team match
b. It might be your ineptitude
c it might be your weak ♥♥♥ troops
2. Don't just list the th of the two teams . Sure if everything was otherwise equal , more higher th will win but everything else is never equal . So to complain that an opponent has more th10 than you when they are weak ( have infernos but nothing else ) is silly . In fact my experience in a mixed clan is that when an opponent has more high th, the match is easier as they usually have some corresponding disadvantages... Usually in available troops
3. Mention troop levels . It's well and good to cite defensive stuff but offence is needed . If your opponents four th10 have no better than entry level gollems and other key troops , they will likely be unable to better than one star a solid th 9 .
4. If you have a clan full of rushed bases with fancy new xbows and infernos but the troops which were available two th lower ... Please just don't bother with your mismatch complaint thread . We have seen that scenario a dozen times . Everyone believes that defensive strength counts huge in matchmaking so to plow ahead and create high level defences without the ability to handle them in your opponents .... Well frankly you should expect to lose
5. TRY ...we had a th9 that didn't believe he could take out a th10 until we forced him to try .. A solid two star later and he is more objectively assessing targets without the " OMG AN INFERNO " thinking .
6 . Don't assume a mismatch . Try to understand what the computer saw that makes this a good match. Often it's an advantage in troops levels or heros . But see what those might be ...
7 . Don't assume that one mismatch means the whole system is broken . maybe it's broken and maybe it's not . But if the match is very unusual and clearly a mismatch it could be that you have an unusual clan that matches up in an odd way .. Or perhaps by chance there were no suitable clans available so the system matched you to the best option available .
8. If your think you are being systemically mismatched , examine your clan makeup and try to figure out why. If you were high heros and walls these were actually weighted more , that may cause some more losses without necessarily overweighting to the point of creating mismatches .
