So say there is a centralised Goblin bank, you can borrow a maximum of 2 mil gold / elixir (@ TH10). You pay it back by sacrificing a percentage of your income from mines/pumps PLUS interest over a selected period of time.
Means you can afford more up front but that you pay out more overall for an upgrade...

Why would SuperCell reduce their income (Get resources now!) by giving it away for free ... with future 'interest' paid in freemium resources?
