So I rushed to th9 to update my walls and heroes early so I can max out th9 fast and I dont have idle builders in th9 but after the latest update I am too high in the match making.

People below me in my clan have higher defense than me and I am ranked third in the clan war.

...Xbows have huge weight in cw and all those lava walls stack pretty close to his defense. It may not be perfect depending on how long your warsearch took too. I know my clan sometimes gets top 5 guys 40/40 heros max defenses and only 2 of our guys are close to that. Unfair matchups happen but I'd hope you have th9 war troops as an 8.5 or rushed base that is the main goal, to have a poelwerful offense with lower defense.

this is not because of rushing but because you upgraded all your walls to an extreme extent. better start working on your defenses ;)
The lesson here isn't don't upgrade walls. It is understand that your attack needs to develop at the same speed at which you're farming. And I'm not talking about troop levels - I'm talking about attacking skills. Learn to 3 star maxed TH9s using Surgical Hogs, GoLava, Penta and other advanced strategies. It always amazes me that people (even those in war clans) think that simply because they can't see attacking 'skill' it doesn't require just as much work as lava walls or level 3 x-bows. They have always been directly linked and this update didn't change that.
My advice is to pick a good tactical YT channel (*cough* ClashwithDaRT *cough* see sig.) and turn your attentions on learning the skills to 3 star maxed TH9s every time you attack. Judging by the speed you've done your walls, you'll pick it up in no time.
That's fine though, that base is super easy to three star ;)
as long as you have good offenses - rushing is not gonna be that bad on clan wars. you can still 3 star your mirror.
