I've been Th 9 for about 1 week and I'm finding it hard to get lol 6 troops . What trophy range should I be at and what army composition should I use ?
For the majority of my time at th9, I've found easy loot in gold 2 barching. After a day of horrible loot, I dropped to high silver one, and it's just as good if not better. In Gold 2 you can go for hours without being attacked, but in Silver 1, I'm sniped in 10 minutes tops, and I haven't been attacked at all in Silver one by a legit army in three days. I'd say try Silver 1, especially because the collector bases are weaker down there and easier for level 5 troops.
The start of TH9 is very tough for sure. Once you get your farming troops leveled and AQ up, it's much much easier. I freaked out at first going from a maxed TH8. I think Gold2 ish would probably be best for you right now.
whatever the average numnut says about barch. do not listen. if you got giant 6 you can go to Crystal III and laugh your ♥♥♥ off because you can steam roll all lv 8s if you're not totally incompetent. oh and AQ = major help.
I use 12 giants 10 wall breakers 60 arch 40-60 goblins and 20-40 barb. costs about 80k per run.
and as you know the th8's have massive amounts of elixir. (and DE at crystal III as well <3 )
This, get your giant lvl6 asap, then move to gold 2 or 1, bring a heal/rage. With AQ, even at lvl1, no th8 will stop you going to the core.Quote:

Your 1st month of th9 will be tough, just focus max our your storages, saving elixir for research, army camps, just do your best to get 6 mils for giants upgrade (If ur spell factory upgraded). My research upgrade order was giant > loon> archer > barb > lava
Gold1 is amazing...at least 400k combined resources every raid
I used to use giant archer goblin healer combo at th9. I switched to barch, when they hit level 6 and I get way more loot now. I thought Giants were where it was at. But I get way more elixir (for walls) now because the army is much cheaper and I get to the same storages, somehow it works.
I saw a th10 barch into my storages one day and I didn't think that was possible. I started doing it and it's amazing!! Of course having your aq helps a ton, but even without, I get more of every resource without using Giants. Also Giants have a much harder time if there are decent troops in the cc. With barch it's easy to take out any cc troops.
I was the biggest proponent of Giants before I saw the light.
Just barch easy collector raids in Silver 1.
