As of now we have two types of troops.
Elixer Troops (T1)
Dark Troops (T2)
The next batch of troops should be...
Robot Troops (T3)
They would cost coins

First off, enough stuff costs coins. We don't need more. Also, You play Clash of Clans, Right? It takes place in midievel times. One WHAT PLANET does a robot fit in there? Only reason I don't say the same of a P.E.K.K.A. Is that it could also be a knight or a samurai.

Teslas, the in game description is that its a storm cloud trapped by magic. Both were believed to have existed in medieval times. That is sort of ridiculous people believed in that stuff then though. Storm clouds... How unrealistic. As for a seeking air mine, all it is is a bomb attached to a balloon.

I agree with Theking8133. It is a bit to futuristic compared to other things in the game

Tiers of troops are not set in to 2 tiers (Elixir and Dark)

They are already set into 3 tiers;

T1 = Barbs-Goblins + Minions
T2= Wall Breaker - Healer + Hog and Valks
T3 = Drags, P.E.K.K.A, Golem, Witches and Hounds

But on the topic of your idea, SUPERCELL already changed spells from costing Elixir to Gold because too many things cost gold. SUPERCELL would not add something in counter-act their previous changes.
