I haven't figured out how to do that from my iPhone
simply take a screen shot by holding down the home button and the lock button at the same time. once you have your screen shot, you can then save the picture on your PC/MAC. once it is saved to the PC/MAC you can then click on "Insert Image" choose the file and upload.
Is that the only way my base can be viewed
Upgrade the clan castle, upgrade walls, center whatever resource you're farming. :)

Join a clan that will help you in all matters.
Then center your clan castle, move your town hall outside.
Create segments that protect your resources. Try to put your resources in different segments so that they won't be able to take all in one segment.
Upgrade your splash defense damage first, in the order of mortars and wizard towers. As you level up, also focus on air defense (air defense itself, archer towers).
Upgrade army camps and troops so that you can revenge attackers and grab all their resources.
Don't value trophy too much, be in the range that brings you loot.
