As much as the logic seems to suggest that a countermeasure should be added, it would be very hard to balance. Implementation method of course would be highly critical, but I've yet to find a good way to specifically counter lightening spells in a way that does not adversely effect other aspects of the game.
The closest I got was a more generic aimed defense-awarded bonus for certain kinds of wins and losses the village had. Since Zapping is consisted a win, it gives one kind of bonus, and because a good amount of loot was taken, it gives another kind. It's in a defence related thread I made, so I'm not going to retype it or go into detail. Net effect in-game is the village is a bit harder to raid for a short while, and likely is able to temporarily train troops a bit faster. Each time a zapper hits, because of how it falls into things with the idea I made, would yield less and less, per attack, to a limiting cap. (Note: the exact same effect would happen if there were many looting raids that failed to score, but got loot as well, so it isn't specifically an anti-zapper idea, but it would effect them)
