Allow dumping spells.

Oh here we go again, someone playing the "you're a want-a-be Moderator" card. :smirk: As if they knew anything about moderating, or what really stops things from being improved.

Look, when ideas get damaged or shot down, egos will get hurt, it happens, deal with it. Put some of your feelings to one side, and try to think logically on the greater good of brainstorming (note the word 'try', since I really don't expect anyone to do that perfectly). Yes, it feels bad to have an idea that you put work into gets trashed, but keep in mind it happens to everyone else here. Just because someone makes a 'stupid' idea is not evidence (to me anyway) that the person is stupid. Now if they don't learn, or seem to hold onto an idea beyond most logical view points, then yes, that might be a sign they are. Even then it isn't a sure thing, since misreading and miscommunications can cause people to argue over the same thing that they actually agree on.
(and this is addressed to people in general, not just one person, since it applies to everyone)

So lets not do motive accusation, or even assume someone knows everything (because they can't), and address the apparent flaw in logic directly, than call the person names.

For example, if you wonder why someone seems to think they know what Supercell wants, QUESTION IT directly. Don't call the other one names. Their desire to be a mod, or just a helper, or wants to rule the world is irrelevant to the topic.

I think its (not yet) implemented because SC assumes that most people wont just want to disgard a spell, since they arent cheap and takes time to make.
I think its a waste but If any wants to waste a spell and thinks pushing 3 buttons to do it too much work.... why not XD

Yeah, that's a good point. I hate waste as well, and wouldn't want to just zap a goblin village just to get rid of the thing, or even use the dump-without-refund feature even if it was avalible. One reason why I suggested maybe have a modest spell donation system, with restrictions, was to prevent waste.

One YouTuber suggested 'spell reversal', where you can get half the cost back, but even then, I don't know how that would play out. Would people still be included to use it as a (rather bad) bank for Elixir, or would it be balanced enough to be pratical?

Or, instead of a refund, you can convert a spell at a reduced price and creation time. You can't pull the Elixir back out and into your storage, but the main idea of dumping a spell is to get the one(s) you want, and usually as soon as possible . So taking that a step further, spell converting would likely be a more favorable opinion, since it wouldn't be seen as much of a waste if you convert what is there, especially if there is a reduced creation time. Not sure how the details of that would go, but the idea is to be more or less convert it at half cost, with some easy to understand restriction worked out so a cheap spell can't be used to make an expensive and time consuming one have a broken reduced cost and cook time, and visa versa and wasting more in comparison. Maybe spells can have some new stat saying how much it helps with the creation of a different one, if it was to be converted.

Like say I need rage spells soon for war, and just have lightening spells because I was thinking I'd have the chance to DE revenge zap someone by now, but haven't. I could run out and find some random village and use it in a raid, which takes awhile, and isn't an option if I have a Shield, could just waste it on full gold storages on the yet to be finished goblin missions, but would rather not. But if I could convert them, an example would be one level 5 lightening spell can help aid on the creation of a Rage spell, by reducing the cost by 11,000 Elixir (half cost of the lightening spell) and reduce creation time by 15 minutes (half of the time it takes to make a lightening spell). I'd be more willing to do that, than to dump it. If done in the other direction (for some silly reason), the level 5 Rage spell could give 16,500 Elixir (half it's cost) towards making a lightening spell, and reduce the creation time by 22 mins 30 sec (half creation time for Rage). Since it is quite the downgrade, it would cover much of the cost for the lightening spell when converted.
