Upgrade archers or giants first?

Giants of course. They have the greatest statistical increase of all the level 6 farming troops

Get giants first simply because the longer they distract the better, then do archers next

We are the same level and likely similar position in defensive upgrades. I agree with you with not needing CC for defense when farming. That said, I agree it is a matter of opinion, of which we differ, if 5-6 giants are better/worse than 25/30 archer in a CC for offense. My only point was that I think this shows it is not universal that high level farming clans only want giants, which is what I took from your earlier post.

A lot of people make this point, essentially stating that giants have better "value." I agree with that, but value is only good if you would normally use them, and to what extent. If you only use 4 giants and 100 archers, even though the per unit increase isn't as high for archers, the overall value for archers is much better. This is more important to think about imo.

base on your army composition, i will do giant first.
And if you just upgraded Th9 recently, it is better to start giant since archer has a lot of other pre-requisite building for upgrade like Elix storage for your 7.5mil elix.

I never use giants i don't like their slow walking , I'd do archer. But if i used giants i guess giants?

I would agree, get the giants going and then while waiting complete elixer storage and save the 7.5 mil elixer.

no its not.

I did giants. The way i see it the benefit of the improved DPS with archers is not as great as the benefit with the improved HP of the giants. I use less giants and they take more of a beating allowing my LVL5 archers to destroy more buildings.

This also allows you to work on other upgrades earlier such as a camp or the new drill.


either way you cant go wrong, it depends if you use giants or not and how often.

I use both a lot, but I would go with archers. :)

When I first got to th9 all i wanted was archer6. But after upgrading spell factory, and lab, when lab finished i had enough for barb6. So when barb6 finished I had barely enough for giant 6 because while barb6 was upgrading i finished army camps. Man I really noticed the upgrade of barb6, it has helped me greatly. Since i only attack th8 and 9 I usually use my whole army, and that upgrade is really noticeable. Cant wait for giant 6 to finish, and then get started on archer6:cool:
