Clanwar Attack/Cancel Possibility

Hi,

So, there was another update lately with a bad addition.
Once you decided to attack an opponent in the clanwar, there is no longer a way to cancel your attack ( without spawning troops ofcourse ).
This confuses people because there always was a possibility to cancel attacks.

Many people gain 0% raids because of this update, including me.
Calm down on the updates supercell you better think twice before updating. I've seen many good games ruining their own game with new updates, and that would be a sin.
Updates like this makes the game worse.
i'm playing CoC for like 2.5 years now. And i've never bothered to make a topic here, but this really need some attention.

I'm pretty sure many players agree with me, so please take a look at this.

Had a lag on my phone, with my own mistake of pressing atack instead of replay. Normally, I would cancel out. And with the new popup window, it supposely easy. But phone lag forced me to press confirm (automatically pressed by my own phone), and force me to attack. I was about to back out when I read the red button said surrender.

So I had to go on with it. Almost made my clan lose cause I only managed yo get 1 star. Troops trained were for different base.

Never heard of a phone automatically choosing something in the game, and that sucks.


But how is this confusing? Instead of canceling an attack without accidentally dropping a troop, you now hit attack, and then confirm you want to attack after seeing a checklist of all your troops/spells/heroes, or cancel your attack. If anything, it makes it less likely you'll attack accidentally. It's also quite convenient for anyone who double and triple checks their army to make sure they have everything they need.


And, of course, it also made it so players can no longer download the full base with all the info on where the hidden traps are placed, and go offline to practice attacking the base over and over until they're sure they can get 3 stars. The notes for the update were also pretty clear that once you confirm your attack there's no going back, so I'm just guessing but it seems like the OP got 0% because he was trying to sandbox without realizing it wouldn't work anymore.

Its very clear that looking at this ♥♥ that once you attack you cant back out. If you cant bother to read this i dont really know what to tell you.

News in-game about the update, news on all the social media sites CoC is on, and a big red bar warning on the big blatant confirmation popup saying you can't back out.

I'm sorry, but Supercell did all they could to make sure people knew. They can't sit everyone down and tell them in person that there has been a change.

I can understand muscle memory habit causing issues a few times, but you can't blame them for you not reading the many signs there are for the Clan War attack confirm popup.

Also, I can't believe someone playing CoC this long would be this naive about CoC updates. It looks very suspicious to me.

The only thing this update does is ensure people don't "forget" something.

Also, like already mentioned, you'd have to be blind to make that mistake. THERE'S A CONFIRM BUTTON! It even says at the bottom "proceeding will use one of your war attacks"

Sorry, but if you got a problem with the new, helpful update, that
s your problem.

My guess is they are too mentally 'hardwired' to press the OK button without hesitating... with obvious repercussions. That still is a player's problem, not SC's, since they can't make another popup asking "are you really sure".

This reminds me, Google came up with a very neat way of preventing most of the mindless 'OK' button accepts... by not labelling it 'OK', or any other commonly used choice word. :smirk: When I first ran into that, it put a full stop to my usual habit of clicking to remove a popup from the screen about thier recent update to there whatever website feature, and had me go " Where the hell is the OK button?! :confused:" It was brilliant. :D

lol, well if you did it once, i am sure going forward you will remember to not do it again. Unless you were using something that wasn't allowed.

The majority have spoken and the last update was heralded a great one. Look at all the criers on facebook, it bring me great joy to read their comments. :p

This update was to prevent ghosting, try to be more careful.

I was connecting my charger on that time. Mistakenly hit attack instead of replay, phone notification of low battery pops up, I put in the charger port, hit ok. But it lagged, and when it come through, the confirm button was also press.. so, lol, I aasumed it was automatic.

I was in \/alhalla clan on that time. Really frustrated. But, it was almost a 2 star though.. lol

But yeah, ever since the update, our clan rarely met mod clan in war now. Its so nice to not see people could guess 100% correct on what my cc are.

Focus on not pressing OK when u don't wanna attack.

Sorry, but ever since the Easter update, SC has removed all Easter Bunnies! They also managed to dig through your closet and remove you Halloween ghost costume.

They weren't complaining. They were saying how they messed up one time, knew why it happened, and praised how the new feature has stopped mod hax usage.
