Please, bring back walls 8 upgrade with gold and elixir. Also, can you consider drop the cost a little. Walls are to expensive considering that they are 250 blocks, isnt the same like if is only one building.
Let us use elixir from walls 8 up, that will be very helpful for everyone :D:thumbsup:

Sure, it might be good for you right now, but that's not the same as what is good for the game, and once you got to TH9 you'd realize what a horrible mess you'd created, and ask them to change it back so that TH8s were actually worth raiding, and you could get the elixir you needed for the TH9 upgrades.
That great you say leave the 8 full of elixir for 9 to pray on ya that's fair. I still say the wall upgrade unlocks after you do all other elixir upgrades
That's how the game works. You attack town hall 7s and steal their resources. Town hall 9s steal the resources of town hall 8s. THIS IS ALWAYS HOW THE GAME HAS WORKED.Quote:

When elixir was added to upgrade walls, it ruined the economy. Loot was hard to find because everybody was dumping low amounts (yes, 200,000 is a low amount) into their walls. So please, stop suggesting this.

There's no rule saying you have to do level 8 walls before moving onto TH9. It's a strategy game, and you can also choose to upgrade your TH to unlock more things to spend your elixir on. That's what I did...went to TH9 with max 8 defense and level 7 walls, and now that I've got max 9 defense and troops, I'm doing level 8 walls with gold and 9 with elixir at the same time. Having the extra e also gives you the opportunity to practice with strong armies.
The degree of myopia is amazing sometimes, as if Supercell didn't look really long and hard at what would work and what wouldn't...and in this case even saw the results of what didn't work...which is why they removed it.
Let me give you a bit more detailed explanation though:
When you could upgrade to level 7 and 8 with elixir, you had a large group of players (predominantly TH7 and 8) that were more or less never sitting on more than 200 or 500k e respectively for long stretches of the game. This effectively removed them from the pool of raidable bases, or if they were getting raided, a lot of time the person raiding them was spending more on their army than they were making back in elixir. This really hit early stage TH9s the hardest, as they weren't strong enough to raid other TH9s effectively, and were having trouble finding much e on TH8s while getting smashed by TH10s.
Some people actually stopped playing until SC fixed the problem, and made the option available only for upgrading level 9 or higher. Now some players will argue it shouldn't even be available until level 10, but now anyone dumping e into walls has to accumulate at least 1m before they buy a piece, which is enough to make them worth raiding a decent portion of the time.
So, bottom line is if they bring it back in any form, the walls would either have to cost double in e, or players would be required to hold a certain amount in reserve (you'd have to have at least 1m before you could spend 500k on that level 8 wall piece). These have also been proposed on other threads before. You should also remember though that while you might prefer to be able to make these upgrades now, at a later stage of the game you'll be quite thankful when you come across TH8s with full storages.
Even tho you guys may have a point here, we cant forget that this new upgrade they did, will not allow th10 find th8 that easy... and thats the case for th9, 8 and 7.... now you will be finding th near your th most of the time.
You probably jump to th9 without walls 8, but that make your th9 easy food for th10... I'm a th10 so i know this.
And i'm not only asking for them to get walls8 with elixir only... if they dont want to do that, well at least drop the cost of each block to at least 750k for a wall lvl 9, that would be fair too.
Idk y ppl complain about the wall lvls, they're fun to do, and at 3 mil a piece I love it as it brings up my gg a LOT
