Clan level effect on war matches

Early I heard many people talking about the effect of clan level on clan war matches. But back then the differences in levels was so small (lvl3 was max I've seen).

Well now we have been as a lvl5 clan for 1 season. During all previous wars matches were mostly fair with exceptions. Really before the last 4 wars and the current one I did say this is all makes no sense as supercell didn't announce anything related to effect of clan level on war matching.

Now I'm nearly sure this have a relation. We have been winning most wars and having mostly fair wars. Now although we attack really good and have no rushed bases in war but still the big difference between offence/defence levels is making our wars really hard to win(winning 10 ,1 tie, 3 losses in the last season). I might opt out of war until my heroes are max(at least queen) to try to let my clan get easier wars.

We have 5 th10 bases still working on defences/walls and of course heroes and we get matched with maxed defenses/maxed heroes th10s. I'm not here to complain but to know if this have a relation to war.

Guys your ideas and experiences will get us a better image. Also if a Anoushka or a mod could get us an info this will be great. Post your comments and experiences below :)

I think that's simply poor matchmaking. We are in a very unfair war now imo. We have 3 maxed out bases, they have one, and after that my even close regarding walls. They also have lvl 10-15 heroes and our lowest is at 30. I'd be pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥.

I am one person who suggested this theory.


I am the leader of \/alhalla a network of clans who use Valkyrie. Many war clans but also a few farming clans.


And its clear to me that a preference is at the minimum given for clans of similar level. I've heard some level 5 clans suffering from jumps in search times and the system having trouble coming back with a fair match.




The match making itself sees to be allot more even when you really analyze offense/defense for our level 3/4 clans. But it obviously benefits some more than others. For my main Th10 account it has been great. Previous to the change I was pulling bases that were a struggle to 2 star. I have weak walls and high heros. It seems now I pull either closer matches to me in wall/hero strength or bases with significantly weaker heros than previously or weaker defenses and high level walls.


I noticed little change with my mini Th8 account.




But this begs the question, does grinding out levels for war bonuses make sense if you'll eventually get harder and harder opponents? (good for matchmaking I think but if the above is true, people fill find ways to exploit it)

Maybe nothing to be sure about. But what is the level of your clan and theirs? Did wars get worse when climbing in clan lvl?

Poor matchmaking. All wars we get are unfair in our favour or their favour, mostly their. We have 2 or 3 TH10s in the wars, one or two TH9s, 8-10 TH8s and the rest TH7s and two TH6s. It's probably because of the big difference between the top and bottom players, but before the update with the "improved" war matchmaking we were getting wars that were a lot more fair.

Clan level is not a factor in war match-making.

The jump in search time is true. Few weeks I was commenting that search time for us is small. Well now it take 40 mins or more.

Cancelled search 2 times then got bored and let it take the time and boom we got 5 th10s with maxed defenses and heroes. We have 1 th10 with maxed defenses and heroes. Me and the other 3 still have a good amount of time to reach that.

I'm on the opposite side. I was getting either close match to me or easier ones. Now I never get an even match always their number 1 have better defenses/heroes levels

Thats why we need some info from supercell

My clan has aways been matched with clans of the same levels or higher, when we were lvl3 we went mostly against lvl3/4 clans, now that we are lvl4 we get matched with lvl4 clans only.

It could only be a coincidence but i think that level does play a role in match making.
