Apparently if you put buildings right next to DE storage they take some of the damage which reduces the amount of DE stolen. Can someone give a thorough explanation on this?
Is this true? How much damage can the buildings next to it take?
I know im being vague but you get the idea...
lightning damages buildings or troops in a small area. So yes, if you place 4 buildings next to your DE tank, m they will absorb up to a 5th of each zap. Z(if you put your gold or elixir stores there, you will notice each zap takes a little of those resources -which obviously saves you some DE)Quote:

Wow you guys are really obsessed with people that zap storages. I think just because of your paranoia you get zapped even more. I don't zap neither i get zapped, even though my constant offer is 2k+ DE all the time.
You are quite correct... I should have stated 'yes, buildings will take some of the damage, thus saving you some DE' , rather than absorb it...Quote:

What I meant was that isn't true from what I know. There is no reason for that statement to be true. It would take a bit of extra programming to fit in a useless feature like that too. Unless I see some actual evidence or reasoning behind it I honestly won't believe it.Quote:

I dont think this is true...based on my time as a th8 when I would zap an AD for a war attack. It would still take out an AD even if there were other defensive structures next to it. I'm nearly certain that other buildings do not absorb damage away from the main target.
Yes put all your storages around your DE storage so when I zap you, I get gold and elixir too. :)
yeah I heard if you put the DE and Storages all in a corner near the water, the water absorbs the zapps as well due to reverse conductivityQuote:

Hitting dead centre when dropping lightning on the AD will often destroy the defence, but very occasionally it won't. If I come across bases like that with a vault in the middle, I zap the hell out of it.... If they're full with all storages round it, 4x Lightning will yield about 100k of each, plus the precious black stuff! Be warned!
